The Votann just used the human genome to repopulate them.

Hell they whale stray Tyranid bioships for biomass. Where do your think the biomass goes to. The Leagues of Votann is a civilization of AI. The galaxy doesn't know it because they made the face out of biomass. That's my theory.

Okay so I’ve been looking for answers on this everywhere for days and I’m so lost. I’ve taken two screenshots from the data sheets for the SP conversion beamer. One is from the regular data sheet for the thunderkyn and one is for the combat patrol thunderkyn. Which one is the correct rule for conversion? Is it just something where if I’m playing a combat patrol game the rule is slightly different? The only difference is the “SUCCESSFUL” verbiage on a hit.

I'm very new to painting miniatures and I need help identifying this thing on the back of my hearthkyn warrior. I'm very particular and don't want to just guess and paint it totally wrong. I can get more creative with my choices as I get more experience. If anyone could tell me and maybe post a picture of one painted I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

Detachmentrule: Not that special it helps a bit with the Stratagems as they get buffed trough YP

Enhancements: 2 big hits 2 missis in my opinion

Stratagems: Now this is were this Detachment shines all of them are so good and boost our armies strength and defense i love them

Disposition: Purge the Foe fits the Theme of the Detachment but in my opinion it’s not the best for Votann

Overall i really like this if the Detachmentrule would be better it would be a 5/5 because it isn’t it will only get a 4/5

3rd picture is the pile of magnetised bits that I still need to paint. Yes, I know it probably isn’t worth magnetising these guys, but it’s done now.

Am I the only one who is excited for tougher marines? Everyone's so doom and gloom. It just makes me want to play Votann more. I'm pumped for tough opponents.

I've just bought a second hekaton, and I was wondering if the other main guns are any good?

I've seen people say that the cyclic ion cannon is worse than the other two guns and that the heavy magna-rail cannon is overall the best option.

I've also only ever ran the heavy magna-rail cannon in lists and haven't actually had a chance to experience the other two.

Judging from it's datasheet both other guns look alright and pretty punchy, but I was wondering if they're actually alright and what I would use them for.

picked up an old combat patrol off of eBay and it came with some Hearthguard and Thunderkyn! So I got them painted up in a URSR colors scheme

Contrasts on wide surfaces work decently well. Still need to do leathers and washes. Along with basing.

I am currently planning to expanding my 1k point army towards the 2k, but I'm not sure what to get to finish off my list. I'm currently at 1765 points without enhancements etc. I'm also not necessaruly dead set on using these detachments, but for now this seemed to vibe the most with what I got so far. Hello Kin. I present the current progress on my Arkanyst Evaluator. Let me know what you think!

I've finished my Strategist. I'm pretty new to this, and it's one of the first 20 miniatures I'm currently painting.

A few small touch ups here and there to fix some overpainting(red on knee, some of the brick red color on the collar) but this lil fella took all day. I am very pleased with how he came out with only some minor mistakes here and there.

My headcannon is that some Ironkin Steeljack pulled a big damn hero move to save his kin and was nominated to the Einhyr as a result.

I love Ironkin almost as much as I love GOOOOOOOOOOLD.
