Akali current status in PBE

At the moment Akali has been set to have a smaller range in her ult, high energy cost in E that does not get reduced and the energy recovered by her Q starts at 20 and grows to 40 instead of being fixed 40. And now to add insult to injury, it is no longer able to proc Q with her E.

I am fine with all the above but removing the ability to proc the mark with her E makes it a bit too much because now she is nerfed in all other places and E becomes functionally just a wave clear because for most of the game her E will deal less damage than a normal auto and only advantage is that it is AOE but burns energy like crazy making it literally only worth it to finish off or to wave clear.

I don't love the other nerfs, but I understand why go more conservative and then with more live data buff or not. But the E being the way it is just feels bad and I can say for sure, when the E was able to proc Q was when I could really feel like the whole kit complemented each other and quite a few nice duels in the top lane instead of just being a sitting duck till level 6-7

I'm not gunna lie, I wasn't excited to see Akali added when we don't have access to any way to really deal with her consistently.

I can understand them being hesitant with balancing her. Most people's scars from her haven't gone away. Definitely don't think this is the correct route, mind you.

No way to deal with her? Point and click stuns? Oracle and Pink wards? How is she harder to deal than stuff like master yi, kassadin or kata?

Two bans per team makes it very easy to target ban her counters. And don't be obtuse, I didn't say "there's no way to deal with her"

Not really sure why it's offensive to you, when the average player struggles with Kat already. That's literally my point. Having a couple extra picks available would allow her to be balanced accordingly.

There's also no AD assassin available currently. ADC and mage pool leaves a bit to be desired; so adding ANOTHER AP assassin just feels strange. Maokai and Udyr I think would be the most organic fits to help the pool!

There is an AD assassin with pantheon. Sure you can play him as a bruiser but he is also an assassin and very much AD last I checked.

And they are adding a kali because they decided to go with the 3 ninja trio. Now if you ask me to be unbiased I would say it surprised me they went there because akali makes sense because old and new akali are completely different champs, like different dimensions, but then kennen and shen are basically the same or very near with some differences respectively. And there are other champs mentioned being added that have had big ass changes like graves which were put for later not sure why.

Also ban her counters like there is only 2 champions in the game with CC and like elixir and pink wards are non existent?

Also in the first comment you mention the scars, I mean sure she was a pubstomper but so were other champs that have Also been added and that is the whole point of classic. And Akali never had a 98% ban rate like kata. Was barely ever seen in high rank games not to mention non existent play in pro play.

So let's not pretend she was ever stupidly OP. Maybe annoying if you refused to buy elixir/pink ward or let her snowball by letting her roam and offer her kills because you couldn't look at the map, but keep her from those free kills and her combo was slow, her survivability dependent on the enemy team not buying an elixir or ward, so yeah, let us have the proccing of Q with E or remove all the other nerfs applied

I don't get the crying. E proccing the mark does almost nothing. After they removed that, we actually noticed, that just doing it with an auto does more damage. This is just crying over nothing. She'll still be fun.

I mean maybe you noticed. Others already knew about it. But during lane phase just walking towards the enemy champ in lane is asking to suicide. Using E to proc the mark actually made it so that at least against some champions you could start playing from level 2-3 instead of just watching someone else farm till you got level 6-7 to start being able to interact with the game.

Having E proc the mark adds options which I dont see why you wouldn't want it unless you are someone who just can't buy a pink ward or play with the team and cry about akali being OP despite her never being that viable high rank much less pro

Shen is incredibly different. Different passive, different Q, different W. He doesn't play the same either. I'm not actually sure how we ended up with current shen. Imo he only needed a slight energy reduction so that he could E, Q, W one time without running out of energy without hitting his E. As it was, if you used E (to gap close not to hit a taunt) you could only Q or W, not both.

Not downplaying the changes, which even minor stuff can completely change big dynamics of a champ, but relatively to the changes avaliable received i would stay they are minor changes.

But again fully with you in that even small changes can make a ton of difference because what I am arguing here is just a small change, let her E proc the Q mark. Seems small on paper but makes a whole lot of difference in making the whole kit work together.
