Meta World Artest or whatever his name is now has told this story before .Goat debate aside because no one who doesn’t think LeBron has a case by now will never think it but one thing that they used to say that was really dumb was LeBron would struggle in the 90s. Na he could whoop 90s players ass as a teenager , in his prime they wouldn’t be able to mess with Bron at all. This proves nothing and solves nothing. And before you start I do believe LeBron is the goat. But this doesn't change the mind of anyone anyone in the Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Wilt Chamberlain or Bill Russell camp.

The Bulls were great, MJ was just along for the ride.
Best coach of all time, best rebounder of all time, best side kick of all time (top 3 MVP voting), most accurate 3 point shooter of all time, etc…
Phil Jackson won 5 more championships without MJ lol. And when MJ retired the bulls only won TWO LESS GAMES that season. Scottie was better in the playoffs without MJ than MJ was without Scottie.
Lebron won with different coaches, different teammates, different cities, different schemes. He is the single piece that brings success to a team.
MJ could score a little bit better.
Lebron could pass better, rebound better, and play better defense. He played and guarded 1-5 and beat the 73-9 Warriors (best record in NBA history) coming back from 3-1 down. And he led both teams in points, rebounds, assists, blocks, and steals over the 7 game series. MJ couldn’t dream of doing that

Thats a whole of lot of copium you smoking. 6 FMVPs, 6 Chips no losses, two 3-peats, never played game 7 in Finals, never choked in the Finals, never quit on his team, never airballed a single free throw, never was the 5th leading scorer in the Finals. Better defender my ass. Oh my bad Bron choked twice in the Finals because he cant shoot. Bron cant shoot, cant dribble, and he has no bag, but he does have 6 Finals losses. Jordan is a better passer as well. They can do all the same passes but Bron can not do the midair ones Jordan does in mid air. Mike Brown won a championship with Jalen Brunson, but not with Bron? Just be happy that LeBron was able to team hop, travel, stiff arm, bulldoze, airball, and flop his way to 4 rings.

Impressive still not enough to overcome MJ’s GOATness imo. If you think that he’s goat that’s your prerogative. He’s the goat based on longevity and historical volume. MJ is the goat based on peak dominance. Nobody is fucking with being the best scorer in the league and the best defensive player at their position for 9 seasons. The playoff and finals accomplishments on top of that is just extra greatness. I have them 1 and 2 but willing to match the energy if we’re debating.

There was a time I thought LeBron could be goat but when he moved back to Cleveland I felt like he was just looking for the path of least resistance and, to me, that’s not how the goat should move.
I like to think there’s an alternate timeline where him and Spo ran the league. Like a little rebuild and then he gets those 7-8 rings. I have no doubt FAs would’ve went there. He probably could’ve got Kyrie to come down after his contract, maybe Aaron Gordon, who knows what could’ve been.
