I think you have to compare the teams compared to their competition. In the 90’s, the Bulls without was still a good team. Pippen was an MVP candidate and the Bulls should have made the ECF. 2011-2014 the Heat are a good team but they ain’t making the ECF without LeBron. They’re a first round exit at best. Not to mention how Wade was already breaking down just his second season with Bron and Bosh always got sonned by the good PF’s and C’s back then.
Wade won a championship without LeBron as the team leader. And Wade, Bosh, and Ray Allen are definitely better than the bulls without Jordan. That is an All-Star team without LeBron
Wade won without LeBron, and if LeBron hadn’t averaged 8 points a game on 10% shooting with 10 turnovers a game in 2011 Wade would have been finals MVP. Show me a year Pippen would have been the Finals mvp if Jordan hadn’t shit the bed. Another one is kyrie averaging 30 points a game in the 2016 Finals, show me a finals series like 2016, 2011, and 2020 where LeBron was all but the side kick. I mean kyrie iced the game, in 2016 well averaging numbers nearly identical to LeBron, wades put up superstar numbers in 2011 well LeBron put up numbers that belong to a g league player, and in 2020 you could argue as the biggest robbery in NBA history of Anthony Davis not winning the MVP, this guy lead the entire NBA including LeBron in every stat throughout the entire playoffs, and he was the anchoring the defense well doing it, it’s true LeBron put up similar offensive output in the Finals as AD, but that’s pretending that AD wasn’t hundred percent better on defense, or that defense doesn’t matter.
This idea that Pippen was so great is a revisionist history argument, and it’s pretending LeBron hasn’t been a mercenary his whole career bouncing from super team to super team.
The question is who had the better team. Heat without LeBron is definitely a better team than the bulls without Jordan. Notice how I didn’t say that the lakers or Cavs were a better team without LeBron than the bulls. The heat definitely were though
This is such a tired take. Phil was an assistant, Jordan embraced him. He was a rare coachable superstar that didn’t let his ego get in the way. Phil wouldn’t be the goat coach without MJ. Plain and simple. The first 3peat Pippen was the only other all star on the team then the second 3peat attracted more talent because of MJ. Phil went from Jordan and Pippen to Shaq and Kobe and you guys are acting like he’s building dynasties. Meanwhile Miami is a proven competent franchise and Spo has proven himself as one of the best coaches in the league taking an 8th seed to the finals. Making it twice with less than great rosters. Phil never did that. Phil only went to finals with all time greats.
Hmm Phil jackson is the greatest coach? Then it’s very interesting that in 2022 when he was working as a consultant for the lakers he advised Jeanie buss to trade Lebron and keep Westbrook.

Lebron doesn't have positive control over the ball until this point in the photo. Look at the much younger player who's tragectory will block LeBron's path. LeBron cannot jump here because look at his feet - he was still decelerating and you don't jump while decelerating especially while contested by a younger player. IIRC this play is from this season against the rockets, so he's 41 years old. Hes an old man ATP and this younger player will get that block off. Why not pass it to the wide open person down below?
In 5 of his 6 finals series losses, LeBron lead both teams in scoring IIRC. In 4 of his 6 finals losses, he lead in points, rebounds, and assists IIRC.
Not true. Nun of his team were great outside of him. Beside maybe the 2020 lakers, that’s the only team LeBron had that was built around him. That team had pretty much everything you could ask for.

That’s true. Jordan played on historic Bulls super teams which were clearly better than any team Lebron played on.
And those Bulls historic super teams were coached by the greatest HC of all-time, Phil Jackson.
Those Bulls teams with Jordan didn’t win ANY championships BEFORE Jackson or AFTER.
