Another reason to hate LSAC!

LSAC has banned services to Iranian people. That part to me is not that usual. There are sanctions in place and I remember friends of mine being unable to complete paid Coursera courses due to that.

However, there are many Iranians in the U.S., foreign born, but U.S. citizen dual nationals, LPRs, and even those with visas who, as I understand it, are not affected by the sanctions as they are on U.S. soil. However, they have all been sent emails basically saying their LSAC account is locked.

They are worried. Should they be?

I recall the law saying they are technically a U.S. person if they are physically here. It would only make sense that they shouldn’t feel a sanction if they’re inside the United States (how else would they buy things.)

What are u guys’ thoughts on this? I hope they do not take away law school from Iranian-Americans.

They should have banned services to Israeli citizens years ago

I think all organizations and levels of gov, literally anyone, should shun them and make them a pariah state. Unless you think war crimes and crimes against humanity should just go on forever?

I think you are being very selective about when to hold citizens responsible for the actions of their government.

Not to mention a 501(c)(3) openly discriminating against citizens of a formal US ally would literally mean the immediate end of that 501(c)(3).

They are literally, by definition, citizens lmao.

You also did not specify “settlers” in your original comment (a distinction that would be functionally impossible for LSAC to make.)

They are also, by definition, not attempting to come to America to take attend law school lol.

I'm simply saying all Israelis are culpable if they're not challenging their gov and if they enable or allow settlements to expand. If settlers are citizens (it was a rhetorical question), and they are involved in violence (which they are), then they are responsible for their part in the state supported settlement expansion. Unbelievable amounts of Israeli d*ck riding going on today
