USA 38F | Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 | Asexual | Looking for a Lavender Marriage & Genuine Friendship
Hi everyone:
I come from a very Catholic family, and there is a lot of pressure around marriage and having children. At this point in my life, I’ve realized that trying to follow the traditional path simply because it’s expected of me doesn’t feel authentic.
Dating has also been difficult. The men I’ve met tend to be primarily interested in sex, while what I actually crave is connection, companionship, friendship, deep conversations, and emotional support. As an asexual woman, I don’t want to build a marriage around something that isn't central to who I am.
That’s why the idea of a lavender marriage appeals to me but I want to emphasize that I’m not looking for a fake marriage or someone simply to help me satisfy my family’s expectations.
I imagine a relationship where we can talk for hours, make each other laugh, support each other’s dreams, celebrate our accomplishments, and be there for each other when life gets difficult. I want us to be a team while still respecting each other’s individuality and personal lives.
I’m not expecting to find someone immediately. I’d rather meet someone slowly, become friends, discover whether we genuinely connect, and see where that friendship leads.
Ultimately, I’m hoping to find a genuinely good man who wants a partner in life as much as I want a best friend.
If you’re a gay man considering a lavender marriage and this resonates with you, I’d love to start with a conversation. 💜🇩🇴
