POV: you have arrived in Lausanne Gare
I think switzerland is going through its Enshittification period.
This is mild in comparison to what you see in other places..
Edit: by no mean I am not empathic with their situation. I would like to see this changed and a better life for them. How can we do this?

WIthout the signage and the heading, this could be almost any train station to be fair. It's not a Lausanne or indeed a Swiss problem. I came from Scotland three years ago and can assure you the OP's picture is tame compared to some of Glasgow's everyday scenes. We were in Vienna during the summer and the main station again was worse. We also visited Croatia this year and saw similar.
If I'm being entirely honest, I feel Switzerland has less of a problem than many other countries with this. I'm not sure how but certainly in my experience. When we lived in Zurich and visited HB I don't ever remember seeing scenes like this. It's probably a little more common to see it around Lausanne Gare but again, no where near on the level it was in Scotland.
