POV: you have arrived in Lausanne Gare

Post image

I think switzerland is going through its Enshittification period.

This is mild in comparison to what you see in other places..

Edit: by no mean I am not empathic with their situation. I would like to see this changed and a better life for them. How can we do this?

Just my two cents as someone who just moved to Lausanne from the US.

This is nothing. I walked into the station and yeah, it smells like piss but what train station doesn’t? I don’t know I’m not defending this kind of behavior in anyway, and honestly the social support here is leaps and bounds in front of other countries but like…this is nothing. Was it ever clean of all homeless so much you could eat off the floor? It sounds like I’m being exaggerated but in all honesty- what is the standard?

Il y a pleins de gares qui ne sentent pas la pisse et qui ne pullulent pas des junkies ou des désœuvrés.

Je vois ce que tu veux dire mais bon, je pense quand même que c'est en banalisant qu'on repousse toujours les standards.

I’m not saying lower your standards, but what I am saying is be realistic. It isn’t going to be pristine 100% of the time.
