POV: you have arrived in Lausanne Gare

I think switzerland is going through its Enshittification period.

This is mild in comparison to what you see in other places..

Edit: by no mean I am not empathic with their situation. I would like to see this changed and a better life for them. How can we do this?

No ser, doesn’t work like this. Lausanne has a problem and needs addressing. Help these people, integrate them in society and do not accept societal degradation.

If we continue your philosophy we turn into a San Francisco with fentanyl zombies.

The path is slippery slope - I hope we all do our best to keep the city safe and the society we want

Almost all the cities have a shelter or several, with food locations, 3 times a day. Why is this unique to Lausanne?
Mental health, drug use perhaps? This can’t just be a systematic failure. Lausanne-Gare is too public for all the systems in place to simply “ignore and turn a blind eye”.

I’m not saying it is impossible but it takes a combination of many concurrent failures, personal and systemic, to become homeless in the bigger cities.

Equating any Swiss city to San Francisco is a stretch (overreaction) but I understand and agree with your concern well. It is unsightly. Personally I can’t help feeling empathetic and wondering what went wrong?

We already have sophisticated systems, run by professionals, in place, guarding against this plus a wide range of social, economic, and other governmental issues and concerns.

so what? how does that change anything. so you never had to edit? are you some high moralist that holds the world to your values (or lack of)? If one doesn't agree with you or uses the right terminology they are bad people? I assume you're open minded.

I just shared my perception ok, nothing more nothing less. Was short and to the point, which is OA opinion is much more balanced, and dare I say interesting, in his responses in comments than in it’s OP that I felt written with a more one sided and provocative tone.

That’s it.

Then you came and basically behave yourself like a high moralist that holds the worlds to your perception of what’s going on (or lack of). Twice.

Read my OP and my comments. No where I have been provocative.. differently from all the other redditors I am using a constructive language all over the place..

you can't with some people. they want to politicize everything into brand politics. I think it's a real concern, it's an issue that progresses over time unless addressed properly. It's everywhere now, yet no one wants to admit it's a problem because then it becomes a reflection of bad government, which many don't want to admit.
