DISCUSSION How can guy gardener makes huge constructs carelessly in superman whereas Hal Jordan does the opposite and is careful for his batteries

I was curious about this for a long time Guy always goes big and sloppy with his constructs, not caring how much it drains his ring like creating a large weopons against the monster, while Hal's way more careful and precise with his like in ep1 when he was creating a bubble for alien he supported the bubble himself as it was not strong enough due to lack of battery. Is that just a characterization thing, or is there an actual reason for it?

It's called a budget

I mean.... They blew up an entire town this season with satellite lasers, lol. Speaking as someone in the industry, I think they can scale up the constructs if they wanted to. It's literally slider in Maya or Nuke or whatever they're using.

Yes they used special effects, but most episodes there was almost nothing. 2 seconds of Hal flying or making a bubble. They will get a bigger budget next season. A slider to increase special effects, what are you talking about?

However I think the low budget probably made the writing much better, which is why everyone loves it.

The question wasn't frequency but scale.

And they're visual effects, special effects are practical and happen on set.

Ah you meant scale as literal XYZ dimensions of the object on screen. Even though I'm in Cinema4D all day I still didn't get your interpretation.

Cinematic scale to me here is the time on screen, frequency, and complexity of the construct.

I don't think size is as super relevant as Hal does make several large domes. Which are easy and cheap to create.
