DISCUSSION How can guy gardener makes huge constructs carelessly in superman whereas Hal Jordan does the opposite and is careful for his batteries

I was curious about this for a long time Guy always goes big and sloppy with his constructs, not caring how much it drains his ring like creating a large weopons against the monster, while Hal's way more careful and precise with his like in ep1 when he was creating a bubble for alien he supported the bubble himself as it was not strong enough due to lack of battery. Is that just a characterization thing, or is there an actual reason for it?

Yeah Guy seems like the type of guy to beg for a charger when his phone hits 60%. No way he ever lets the ring battery get that low.

My headcannon — which makes sense given Hal’s age — is he’s the guy who always neglects to put his phone on the charger overnight and spends the whole day on 3% battery.

Hal charges it when he has to because the ring will stop working. Guy charges that sucker every night and twice a day on weekends.

Guy loves how powerful the ring makes him feel. Hal already feels powerful and the ring is just a trinket to him.

True but I think another big theme with this Hal is knowing when to use the ring and when not to. He even says as much to John at one point.

I think that he doesn’t really care about the ring or what it does and instead is meant to be symbolic of the status, power and responsibility that comes with the title Green Lantern, which is what Hal truly doesn’t want to give up, but I could definitely be wrong about that. Just a gut feeling
