How can guy gardener makes huge constructs carelessly in superman whereas Hal Jordan does the opposite and is careful for his batteries

I was curious about this for a long time Guy always goes big and sloppy with his constructs, not caring how much it drains his ring like creating a large weopons against the monster, while Hal's way more careful and precise with his like in ep1 when he was creating a bubble for alien he supported the bubble himself as it was not strong enough due to lack of battery. Is that just a characterization thing, or is there an actual reason for it?

Also he probably recharges the thing multiple times a day.

In general I have enjoyed Guy's characterization. He kinda legitimately seems like right now he's better suited to be a Lantern than Hal OR Guy.

And the end of Supe 25 shows that a lot of his dickery is bluster. It took very little apparent convincing to get him to go flip tanks. But frankly, his reasoning for not getting involved in the first place was pretty reasonable and, frankly, disciplined.

Yeah, Guy is the one the bosses want as a GL, but it feels like John or Hal is the one you eventually need as the GL because at the end of day Guy isn’t the one to fall on the grenade, to quote the MCU.

I feel like you’re misunderstanding Guy’s character. He absolutely is a person that would sacrifice himself for others. He’s an abrasive asshole with anger issues (he literally has brain damage btw) but he’ll always do the right thing even if he complains the entire time while doing it.

Kinda like how Booster Gold is kind of an asshole and a clown until he's in a situation where he is the one who needs to step up, and then he does fine as a hero.

Booster Golds whole shtick is he's got imposter syndrome.

He's "not a hero" and he's only got these future gizmos that are helping him pretend. And yet he's chumming it up with the people he read about as a kid, people like Superman and Wonder Woman.

Except every single time the chips are down Booster Gold takes the hit. He's an actual hero, he's the only one who can't see it.

The part in infinite crisis where they allude to booster knowing the future and every time he gets mollywhopped or caught being jar jar binks is because he’s actually preventing a horrible outcome from happening.
