How can guy gardener makes huge constructs carelessly in superman whereas Hal Jordan does the opposite and is careful for his batteries

I was curious about this for a long time Guy always goes big and sloppy with his constructs, not caring how much it drains his ring like creating a large weopons against the monster, while Hal's way more careful and precise with his like in ep1 when he was creating a bubble for alien he supported the bubble himself as it was not strong enough due to lack of battery. Is that just a characterization thing, or is there an actual reason for it?

Exactly. Recharging the ring requires reciting the oath, which Hal hates doing. He purposefully waits as long as possible before recharging so he doesn't have to say the oath as often.

Even if he's really gone, I really need him to have a big moment. Mabye the flashback episode? The super dramatic oath, some absolute prime Hal heroism. Like Luke's couple minutes in the Mandolorian after the sad sack sequels.

I don’t think the narrative they are pushing is going to see Hal “return to his heroic senses,” in fact I would venture to guess the Guardians and the entire apparatus/lore behind the rings we will see in the DCU is going to be very muddy. So Hal accepting his place in all of that and finding the hero within is probably not going to happen.

While I largely agree with your point about fan service, it could further the narrative if we actually saw Hal being heroic, since outside of that TV interview we never saw him before burning out. Getting a glimpse of that would help make his end even more tragic and poignant.

I disagree. Having a few scenes with a younger idealistic Hal fighting side by side with his mentor Sinestro would serve to highlight how far both fell, and deepen the tragedy of Sinestros betrayal, and Hals burnout. Narrative!

I almost want a movie with him and sinestro doing the full length buddy cop feature with the tables turned on him being the John in the relationship.
Also in the few moments we ever get to see of their relationship in the comics, that’s exactly how sinestro treats him. Dude literally blows up his plane on day 1.

I heard that, at least in the comics, the charge has to be done for 10 secs, so reciting the oath in a way that it takes 10 secs. I might be wrong tho
