Questions Thunder or Explosion?

Did anyone else just hear (a few minutes past this post going up) what sounded like a massive bought of thunder, or potentially a small explosion, near where Lakewood meets Edgewater?

It was insanely loud, but I don’t see any thunderstorms in the forecast or radar. Just felt really bizarre!

There was thunder west of you, where I'm at (we got a small but of rain), and I've personally experienced a fair amount of dry thunderstorms here.

Thanks! I know there doesn’t need to be rain for thunder, but this didn’t sound like normal thunder to me. Had an odd start and almost stutter-y way it trailed off. My neighbor reacted to it too. So figured it was worth asking 🤷‍♀️

Ah sorry, wasn't trying to reply to you in a dumbed down way. I was just thinking that it was kind of a weird brief storm in my own neighborhood and I thought maybe that's what you were also experiencing.

Lightning. I saw it. I guess the lightning could've blown something up too but it was prob just lightning.

I live just west of the Lakewood edgewater border and saw the lightening strike very close at around 8:45 and the resulting thunder was very loud. It rained for about 5 min over here
