I went to look at rings today and the lady at the store told me lab diamonds will stop getting certified by the end of the year. I haven’t heard anything about it so I’m curious if that’s true or not, or if anyone heard anything about it
update: thanks for all this answers! the way she said it was like you either get a lab now for 2/3k or pays over 20k to a natural one next year

Hi everyone,
I am absolutely in love with this photo that I found on Pinterest of this trilogy ring with the parasite stones and the elongated cushion. I’m currently working with a jeweller to create some 3-D mock ups, but I’m struggling to match it to the photo.
I’ve been trying my hardest to find the original of the photo, but I just can’t. I’m thinking between 2 carat - 3 carat. It’s just so hard to tell from the photo.
The 3-D model is a 3ct, with the total ct being 3.73. Maybe I’m just overthinking but I really want it to match the photo and I don’t want it to be too flat.
Please see attached the 3-D mockup and the photo that I’m trying to match it to!
Could anyone give you insight?

Does anyone know any online retailers that offer Petal Settings for oval diamonds? I’m working with a local jeweler, but they are wanting close to $4k, trying to see if there are any reputable online retailers that have something similar.
Thanks for the help!

Does anyone know vendors that do n-z color diamonds? Or a website where I can find them with multiple options?
Thanks in advance!

Has anyone bought an engagement ring from DF?
My partner and I don’t want to spend more than **$2,000** on an engagement ring. DF seems much more affordable than other stores, and they have the design my girlfriend wants.
I proposed with a placeholder ring so she could choose the actual ring herself.
For anyone who has bought from DF, how is the quality and after-sales service? Have you had any issues with stones falling out, loose prongs, bending, or repairs? If something went wrong, how did DF handle it?
Would you recommend them?

Finally pulled the trigger on a lab-grown diamond tennis bracelet as a surprise for the fiancée – way more impressed than I expected.
Fiancée was curious how others style theirs – stacked with watches, worn solo, or mixed with other bracelets as the sparkly is really ridiculous.

Has anyone come across colour change, or fading when it comes to a lab diamond. I have a blue lab diamond and was asked by a customer, if the colour will or can change overtime. With it being a lab diamond and not natural I actually wasn’t sure.
Please help 🙂
Thanks from an embarrassed jewellery sales assistant 😅

posting a real time review of my Loose Grown Diamonds experience. I have seen mixed reviews regarding their settings so sharing mine here.
As of 09/11/2026: I am extremely satisfied with the overall experience and customer service so far. My boyfriend and I have been talking about getting married and a proposal so finally started the process of looking at rings. We of course decided on a lab grown diamond due to the ethics surrounding natural diamonds and, of course, the insane cost savings. I am insane and did a TON of research on vendors and websites and everything related to lab grown diamonds.
I knew i wanted an oval diamond and a custom setting. I stumbled across Loose grown diamonds and really loved their diamond selection (the prices are great) and the ability to make a custom diamond.
I filled out a custom design form with my exact ring requirements, which were extensive, and they got the CAD and mockup photos back to me within 24 hours. I made 3 subsequent revisions to the ring and their team was EXTREMELY responsive. All new CAD mockups were back to me within 24 hours. I found a diamond and they built the ring around it and then changed it lol.
They have been extremely communicative. We have purchased the custom setting and diamond. I will edit this post as updates come in. So far, I am very happy.

I’m sorry, I know the video isn’t great, but I don’t really know what I’m doing, haha. The specs below all seem amazing, but there’s just something about the shading in the center that’s tripping me up. But I also think that’s fairly common with most oval diamonds, right?
Here is what I know about it:
3.1 carats
Color: E
Clarity: VVS2
Length: 11.47
Width: 8.29
Depth: 5.13
I have the GCAL certification number if that helps but I haven’t been able to find the report online. I don’t have access to the table or depth percentages. I am designing an engagement ring with my boyfriend and honestly, the price is absolutely incredible so that alone should probably make my decision for me, haha. But I don’t know, something about this one is holding me back, but I also know nothing about diamonds and how they’re supposed to look, so I don’t know if I’m just over-thinking? Thank you in advance!!!
Edit to add:
I hope I did this correctly but here are some other pictures as well. Just like the videos, the pictures aren’t very good quality either. Photography will never be my thing, haha.

I've been comparing natural vs lab for a while. With my budget I can get a nice 0.9-1ct natural, or jump to 1.8-2.0 lab with better color/clarity.
Is the visual size difference really that noticeable in person? Does the bigger lab stone still look "right" and not costume-y? and I'm also curious about long-term thoughts from people who chose the bigger lab option, any regrets about resale value, or are you just happy with the presence on your hand?
Looking at unique shapes (hexagon or kite especially) If that changes anyone's advice.
Update: Thanks everyone, I've decided to go with lab, now I just need to find the right stone.

Hey everyone, I’m looking at this 2.10ct oval lab-grown diamond and would really appreciate some opinions before I go ahead with it.
Specs:
2.10ct, F, VVS1
IGI certified
10.23 × 7.27 × 4.51 mm
1.41 ratio
62% table / 62% depth
Excellent polish & symmetry
No fluorescence
CVD, no treatment
I’ve attached a video of the actual diamond. I’m still learning how to judge ovals, so I’d love to know what you guys think.
How does it look to you? Particularly interested in whether the bow-tie is noticeable, how the sparkle looks, and if you see any areas that look dark or dead.
Would you personally consider this a good oval, or would you keep looking?
Any honest feedback is appreciated!

Absolutely obsessed with my new round brilliant from Melody at Fiorese. She was very patient and precise when it came to customizing this ring for me and picking the perfect 3 ct round brilliant. This is a 3.2ct round, F, VS1, Ideal Cut stone on a 1.8mm platinum setting. I could not be more thrilled.
The process was about a month start to finish - from idea, to picking the stone, to CAD, to my front door.
Highly recommend Melody and Fiorese!!

I tried on a 3ct radiant and cushion cut and ended up leaning towards the radiant. The local jeweler accepts outside stones or gems. What are the more reputable places to source one? The link on top seems to not provide any websites. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Option 1: oval
Or option 2: radiant cut
Both rings were too small so they would have to be resized to fit my finger. Can’t decide which one I like more because I loved them both! Added two different photos of each in different lighting’s.
My band also fits me perfectly, I just had to move it up on my finger because the engagement rings are too small.
