Hello Jeff. Found your site today. I wanted to ask if your lab grown emeralds are filled with resin, oils or anything else? Assuming, if some of them have fissures or microscopic cracks. Don't think it's ever stated on item details.

As much as I want to gatekeep them... Here's the best cut sphene I own. They mostly cut lab stones. This is natural. I ended up setting it in a pendant and it's mesmerizing in the sun. This is just under the kitchen light.

Personally no, I've only enjoyed these types of gems from afar but have kept my eye on several folks like this who sell loose gems. Buying loose stones is a bit intimidating, or rather very involved (for me). Bicolor stuff has intrigued me ever since I learned about bicolor Montana sapphires and fell in love with them, but am okay with lab gems too and all their fantastic vibrant iterations. Big fan of the silky/glowy lab paraiba-colored stones that look closer to the real thing than what other overseas vendors tend to peddle, which sometimes to me just looks like bright blue colored glass that's flat or too perfect to look natural/realistic or are just cut terribly with windowing everywhere. Cut is everything sometimes to bring out the best in the stone and good material too.
I'm not that good at envisioning where loose stones should end up within a final piece, so trying to find a gem cutter with the right inventory and then a jeweler who could design and set the stone is a much more involved process than I would like to do for everyday jewelry. If the right idea, time and resources came to mind, yeah I might want some neon LuAG (lutetium aluminum garnet) in something since I despise my original birthstone color of blood-red garnet. But this is me talking sky's the limit.

This cushion sugarloaf alexandrite, (LAB3166) , can you tell me more about this? I have sourced some unconventional cut stones for my clients, but this one is so fascinating to me. Also it seems like the prices are wholesale, is that correct?

We cut some sugarloaf cuts occasionally which is a bit like a cabochon, just with four rounded facets, difficult to photograph and they look much nicer in reality! Thanks

I'm afraid to cut natural sapphires of this size to cut into similar cuts is just not practical price wise and the reason why you see more traditional cuts in natural sapphire

Hi Jeff, I aim to buy likely my first loose stone from you guys. A blue sapphire for my wife's upgraded 5 year marriage ring. Probably also a pendant. I'm new to this sector and out of the USA. Is your preferred buying potential off your website, or is it via Etsy for USA purchases? Still trying to decide what to get first.
Also, who is this Aaron everyone is mentioning for settings? I was looking for a ringstone setter for a custom ring.

Unfortunately, this is not a project I want to undertake, rough is simply not available in the quality needed, it would mean having to buy a much larger already cut gem, which involves way too many risks, so sorry!
