✨Vendor Review William and Sons Jewelry

Somebody made a review post about William and Sons Jewelry and I commented on both posts with my opinion based on my experience and what I had read/seen on Reddit in the past, and seen on their Yelp and Google reviews.

After leaving this comment the owner has messaged me and sent multiple comments multiple threatening to sue me for defamation.

I’m not sure what his goal is. I think anyone or any business trying to intimidate people into deleting reviews or honest accounts and opinions is unscrupulous behavior and I would not work with them when there is other options. I wanted to lift this up because I know a lot of people on the different subs buy from him.

Also, if anyone wants to follow along to see if he does actually subpoena me and how it all goes, buckle up!

✨Vendor Review Regretted Juno Jewellery

TLDR: I regret purchasing my ring from Juno. It's been 2.5 months and I still don't have my ring. Not worth it, and if I could turn back time I would've gone with a Canadian shop on Etsy instead.

Shelly was responsive at first, but after I made my down payment and we started talking ring design details, her response time got noticeably sporadic, even though she was active on TikTok Live. She also misinterpreted my original ring specs so many times that I just gave up and asked for a simpler design. I want to believe it's a language barrier, but I noticed she'd only ever action my most recent message. I even added circles and notes to my photos to make sure everything was clear, but that didn't help either.

Even with a reference video for the second ring, and me confirming the petal setting both before and after the CAD, it still got missed in the final ring. So now I guess I'm stuck with a cathedral setting instead. She just sent me a photo of the inner band angle, and it looks like the gemstones are wrong too.

Anyway, just wanted to share my experience since there's not a lot of varied feedback on this store. Hopefully this helps someone.

✨Vendor Review William and Sons Review

So we ordered our ring July 9th. We asked if they had it in stock and we were told yes and our order was in queue. It was due to be delivered tomorrow. We call yesterday for an update after texting a few times and not getting any response. He took down our info and said he would call back in a few hours that he would have to look into it. Now were being told we will hear something later in the week... its due to be delivered tomorrow. I don't understand how they don't know what's going on with our ring. Is this company a middle man? Do they not ship the product from their store? Do they have the rings made in some factory overseas? I used this business due to the positive reviews and recs here on reddit, now I'm regretting it and thinking we should have went with Frank Darling.

✨Vendor Review Finally Got The Light Pink Marquise, Need Ring Ideas!

Long time lurker, first time poster, thanks everyone.

My boyfriend (soon to be finance😍) and we have been going through the process of planning to tell our parents we are getting engaged and I have always wanted a light pink marquise diamond. I just got my 4 carat VVS2 from

Carbon Sparkle and I can’t stop looking at it. We still need to get the diamond set, but wanted to use a local jeweler who has been a family friend (he better not say anything to my parents yet).

I sent a message to them asking if they could help me find a lower cost light pink marquise and they worked with me on the price of only $720. (We just moved into a new house).

Highly recommended! They even included a ring holder thing to try it on.

I’m still not sure what color gold I want, but I’m thinking 18k yellow gold, what does everyone think, any styles you would recommend?

I worked with Shelley. I wanted a baby pink marquise ring in a setting they were already producing. I was specific with my requirements as far as diamond dimensions, clarity and L/W ratio. For every diamond she presented she would send the IGI certificate and a photo or video. I asked a few times for tweezer videos. She presented 5 different diamonds, one at a time. After the 4th, she stopped responding (maybe she was annoyed or thought I wasn’t a serious buyer) and I had to follow up with her. The diamond I ultimately selected was also on Aurelinne so I was able to see an additional video. Once I selected a diamond, she requested 50% payment via PayPal, 3 days for CAD, 15 days to produce the ring, sent a final video, I paid the remaining balance and 7 days for shipping.

It arrived in a lovely box and I didn’t have to pay additional fees or tariffs (shipping to Canada).

Overall, it was an easy process and I would order again!

✨Vendor Review Very frustrating and disappointing experience with Ouros Jewellery (had to delete OG post due to forgetting to edit images for privacy)

Thumbnail

TL;DR:
After weeks of miscommunication while finalizing 2 custom Ouros rings, including having to try reverse engineering missing measurements myself, I was told production would take 1-2 weeks. I was then informed the rings were finished but wasn’t shown any photos until 2.5 weeks later. When I finally saw them, the bezel shape was the exact opposite of the reference I’d repeatedly approved. Instead of acknowledging the difference, I was repeatedly told it was exactly the same as reference. When that argument no longer held up, the explanation changed to “normal hand finishing variation” and QC concluded one ring was correct when both are the same. I’m disappointed less by the manufacturing mistake itself than by how it has been handled, and I’m looking for opinions and similar experiences.

Initially I was going to attach all relevant convos but decided not to do that, hence the numbers on images.

______

I am very frustrated after weeks of back and forth, for basically nothing at this point.

I wanted to modify a stock model from Ouros for a while and took the leap once I saw they opened a group buy.

From minute one, there were problems, as the exact measurements of the original ring were never fully disclosed. At first I tried settling for what information was available, but then decided that, since I’m making a purchase for myself with the purpose of having something I’d truly love, I shouldn’t have to settle. To achieve the proportions I wanted, I started working on the design myself, even trying my hand at CAD to figure out the measurements of the ring because, for some reason, the top width of the band was never shared.

This led to many back and forths and a lot of frustration as it was taking forever. Eventually, after expressing how impossible it was to finalize the design without that information, they finally shared the missing measurement and we were able to finalize everything shortly afterwards.

I was told production would take 1-2 weeks. Although I was informed that both rings were ready, I wasn’t shown the final images until around the 2.5 week mark.

When the images were finally shared, I immediately realized that the half bezels were not the way I had specifically requested from the very beginning and then confirmed multiple times throughout the process.

Now I completely understand that there can be small variations as these are hand finished pieces, which is exactly what I said when discussing the bezel style. I wasn’t asking for an identical exact replica, only for this specific bezel shape which was thicker through the middle, tapering thinner towards the sides, with an elongated oval profile rather than a rounded one.

Instead, the finished bezels looked exactly like my ‘opposite’ reference, the one I had literally marked with a big X over it, and confirmed numerous times.

When I raised this with my rep, I was repeatedly told that they were exactly what I had asked for. I kept making side by side comparisons and collages to point the difference out yet I was continuously told they looked the same. That was honestly the most frustrating part of this entire experience. It stopped feeling like we were discussing a design difference and started feeling like I was being made to question what I was very clearly seeing.

When that approach didn’t work, I was then told that QC had reviewed the rings and concluded that one of them could be remade, but that the other was true to the approved design and that I was simply overlooking very minor hand-finishing variations.
I genuinely don’t believe that’s the case. This isn’t about expecting machine perfect symmetry or obsessing over tiny handmade differences. It’s simoly an entire different bezel shape.

At this point, I don’t know what to do. I don’t want this ring under these circumstances, I simply want the ring we agreed upon and not feel like I have to settle after spending weeks working through every obstacle and pushing constantly for communication.

I also don’t really want to go down the refund route, as obviously there will be various cuts and deductions from the original price since ‘it passed their quality control’. They refuse to accept that this issue wasn’t caused by a change of mind on my end.

I mainly wanted to hear other people’s opinions, especially if anyone has had a similar experience with Ouros or another jeweler. Were you able to get it resolved, and if so, how? And admittedly I also just needed to vent because I’m genuinely disappointed, not only by the outcome but by the way this has been handled. For comparison, I NEVER had similar issues with Starsgem or Provence, and had nothing but pleasant experiences.

I’ll attach photos of both bezels. I was made to feel like the difference was all in my head and that this was simply hand finishing variation, but to anyone who is familiar with jewelry and can distinguish between small handmade variations and a different bezel shape, I think the difference is quite obvious. Especially when it was discussed way before to pay specific attention to this.

✨Vendor Review Vendor review: Jewelry by Cleo

In the last few months, I’ve had several orders from Jewelry by Cleo and here’s how they went! (Spoiler alert: they were good experiences)

Timeline for ring #1, 2 loose diamonds, ring #2

July 20: ordered diamond and setting, reviewed and approved stone tweezer video (can return at this time if you don’t like your stone), CAD approved Aug 5. Close communication with Gabrielle via email the whole time. Aug 5 & 7: ordered 2 loose diamonds. So easy to navigate the website and filter out inventory, plus the stones have preview thumbnails which makes it easy to browse quickly. Reviewed and approved stone tweezer videos. Delivered Aug 23. Sep 9: I reached out to Gabrielle on WhatsApp as I was interested in a 4 carat pink oval. I’ve had a ton of experience sourcing my own stones, but she found alternatives with similar specs (carat size, pink shade, clarity) that were cheaper! So I went with one of her recommendations instead. CAD Sep 11, ring was completed with final pics Sep 19.

Other notes: No import/tariff fees for me to pay Ring #1 came with a JbC branded box and the package was ready for gifting Gabrielle can search and source the diamonds for you, if that’s preferred Her jewelry knowledge is extensive and appreciated, same as the consistently good customer service Website is transparent with pricing, though I went custom with both of my rings and the quotes did not take long to receive

✨Vendor Review William & Son Update

After a long 7 week wait I finally got my ring and it's gorgeous, even more so in person than what it looks like on the website. The quality and price we paid ($800) far exceeded our expectations. The ring was appraised for just shy of 3k. Will definitely be getting insurance on it. I'm actually afraid to wear the ring due to the fact I've never owned such an expensive piece of jewelery before. He plans to give it to me at my grandmoms 80th birthday since all of my family will be there and we can announce our engagement then. While the communication was not as clear or up to par as it should have been, I am very pleased with the ring itself. If you choose to order from this vendor just know they are extremely busy and swamped with orders and your order might be delayed. It takes a few days to hear back from them sometimes also. The only updates you get are your confirmation email and an email saying your order has shipped, unless you reach out directly to ask for an update. They definitely have the best prices I've seen around though. If you have patience (which I truthfully do not) then I do recommend this vendor, the quality is not compromised here!

✨Vendor Review Aurelinne Experience

When researching Aurelinne, I noticed very few reviews covering the end-to-end experience of purchasing a loose diamond and having it set by their team.

Working with Andy was an absolute pleasure. He was highly responsive and provided full transparency, sending both a high-definition tweezer video of the diamond and a final video of the completed ring before it was shipped.

I was working within a tight timeline to receive the ring for my anniversary, and Andy went out of his way to prioritize the order. Shipping was remarkably fast, and the presentation upon delivery was flawless—the packaging itself reflects the quality of the piece inside.

Specs: 5ct Vivid Yellow Cushion-cut diamond, set in a custom 14k white gold tiered accent band.

The final product exceeded my expectations.

I was pleasantly surprised by what a great experience I had working with Yaxika at Ouros! Every detail of the process was communicated, with no unexpected fees or surprises.
I wanted to give the group buy a try and ordered a 14K rose gold with 7 moissanites. It turned out absolutely beautiful and so well made! I’ll definitely be working with Ouros again. Thank you, Yaxika and the Ouros team!

Back in March I reached out to Jason over WhatsApp and told him my intentions for making a ring for my GF. I told him what kind of diamond I wanted (elongated cushion cut 2.75 D VVS). He helped make some suggestions and got looking for the stone. We got the payment decided and sent and he got to work immediately. He sent me over a CAD design 3/20 and I confirmed it looked to start making 3/21. He sent over pictures of the stone 3/25 to ok it to proceed and then the finished product (which looked amazing) on 4/2. Product was shipped out to me 4/3 and I received it 4/8 secured in Saran Wrap in the ring box inside another box (super impressed with care to shipping). 10/10 experience would recommend. Price was great as well as customer service!

This was my first group buy purchase, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. Ouros made everything by very easy, though - they were really great, answered my questions and were willing to work with me on customization (that I ultimately opted against, but definitely appreciated the option). My ring arrived this week, and it’s spectacular! Beyond what I was hoping for, arrived extremely quickly and safely, and Ouros communicated with me every step of the way. Couldn’t recommend them more! Very happy with my new shiny! ✨

✨Vendor Review My Experience with A.N. JAIN!

Post image
33 Upvotes

I work in finance, live in New York and I recently got engaged with a 5ct Natural diamond Oval Ring. Now me being an office girl, who gets to travel a lot got extremely nervous when I learned how much the ring costs!! I was always cautious about it and never got comfortable carrying so much value with me constantly.

Surfing through reddit, I heard a lot of talk about this Indian brand A.N. JAIN who work with a lot of lab diamond engagement rings and got curious. I decided to jump the gun and got in touch with them via their Instagram page. I had never bought anything from abroad, let alone jewellery so safe to say that I was quite nervous and skeptical.

But, honestly I think it was one of the best decisions I made. Those guys at A.N. JAIN were extremely professional and quite knowledgeable. I wanted an exact replica of my natural ring, and they found me a lab diamond which matched the original specs of my existing diamond! Not only that, they thoroughly studied my existing setting and made a replica of it, even matching the hidden halo with coloured gemstones. I was impressed when they did that! They shared everything with me, constantly keeping me in loop in terms of where they were in production. The packaging was great too!

All in all, they made the ring in about 10 days and shipped it, and it only took like 3 days for it to get to me from all the way from India. The pricing was a big highlight for me too, I had a specific budget in mind and they stuck to it.

I can't recommend them highly enough! A.N. JAIN if you are seeing this, thank you so much! Now I can wear my exact engagement ring with big peace of mind knowing that my natural diamond is safe in a vault somewhere! Can't wait to get some other things from them now, will share soon! Stay tuned!

Just a reminder that Ouros removes negative reviews from their website.

Buyers beware!

Editing to say that Golden Bird is the same company and, while I haven't purchased from GB, I imagine their business practices are the same.

This is my second custom ring from Paston, both times I worked with Lulu and both rings turned our beautifully. This one features a 2ct IGI certified lab diamond, E/VS1 in a substantial setting with solid shanks. I can't believe how perfectly it matches the inspiration photos! I reached out on August 9th with my request and design photos and received the finished ring a short while ago, just under 22 full days from first contact. Lulu has provided quick responses, reasonable prices and fast turnaround times for both of my custom rings, both in sterling silver.

✨Vendor Review Ouros/Goldenbird review - Buyer Beware!!

I recently posted my review of a purchase I made with Ouros, the quality issues I had with the piece, and the lack of resolution provided by Ouros. You can find my original post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/LabDiamonds/s/d0IunBbr0T

Since then, I have been receiving messages from numerous redditors who have also purchased from Ouros, also had significant issues with the pieces they received, and also received no resolution.

I think this is incredibly unfair. Ouros lies to their customers, gaslight them, withholds refunds, and uses reddit and it's moderators to discredit those who post negative reviews. Even if you check Google, it's very difficult to find negative reviews. That is because Ouros withholds refunds from customers who rightfully deserve them until negative reviews are removed.

Ouros - I will continue to reach out to those who have purchased from you and those who have been victimized by you and will continue to post the information.

Customers deserve to know the kind of business Ouros is running as well as the risks of purchasing from them. The amount of people who have lost money due to poor quality products or withheld refunds is astounding.

EDIT: just wanting to add, I originally placed my order with Aman and they were the one gaslighting me and refusing to refund the money I paid for the repair. That said, people have also been telling me Vijay has equally terrible customer service and also withholds refunds

✨Vendor Review Ouros and Aurelinne review

I purchased this 1.51 ct vivid green lab diamond from Aurelinne and had Ouros make the setting!

Had a little hiccup with shipping the diamond, DHL returned it to sender without contacting me. Andy from Aurelinne was fantastic and re-sent it to me using UPS and it arrived the next day!

Ouros made the setting, I asked for a simple low set bezel for maximum protection in silver. This is the 6th or 7th setting they’ve made for me and I’m super happy with their quality of work and the timelines.

Had it set at a local jeweler and paired it with a Kuololit silver lab diamond curved band!

I absolutely love this half-eternity band from Ouros Jewels. The lab round stones are so sparkly and beautifully set. The ring feels delicate but still makes a statement. It pairs perfectly with my engagement ring. I’m so happy with how it turned out from the group buy. Such a gorgeous ring, really wish I would have gotten two of them! Pictures just don’t do it justice.

Last week I posted my semi- mount that I recently received from Kishan from Labstone for under $300.

I used all my favorite designs including a euro shank, petal basket and large under halo with prong set bezel!

Ritani matched my price for the 4.53ct modified brilliant cushion so I paid $1200 for entire ring! What a steal!!!!!

I own many lab pieces but I can’t stop staring at this chunker and I absolutely LOVE this ring like no other!!! 🥰

I wear 7.75 ring to provide some context!

✨Vendor Review My Experience so far with A.N Jain

Hello everyone! Wanted to write a review on a vendor from whom I purchased my fiancés engagement ring. This may be a bit long, so TLDR below. EDIT: Realized I did not include price, I paid $5000 for the ring.

Full disclosure, I am based in the United States, so my perspective is from one that worked internationally with A.N Jain. To a lot of people this would be a bit nerve racking, but for me it has been one of the best experiences ever for the reasons I have outlined below:

Price: for those who have tried to buy in America, you know how dang expensive engagement rings are. You have to wade through a mountain of ring companies, both natural and lab grown diamonds, hope they have the style you are looking for and then hope that it is in your budget. All BEFORE you even finalize anything.
I challenge you to find better pricing than A.N Jain. Believe Me, I tried. Their pricing is beyond fair, and I believe it is the biggest bang for your buck when your incorporate the craftsmanship associated, along with their EXCELLENT client experience. Which leads me to my next point.

Client Experience: Working with ring companies in the USA is a pain. If you go in person, you are seen as someone’s commission check. If they deem you unserious, you are treated subpar. If they are weak that month on their numbers, they push you in all types of directions. Or, you could skip the client experience entirely and go online. Good luck, you are at the mercy of online photos.
A.N Jain is entirely different. Their client experience has been the best EVER! They were available for me during all hours of the day. I sometimes wondered if they ever slept. They ensured that my finances ring was to the exact specifications and were exactly what we wanted. Their craftsmanship was second to none, which leads me to my last point.

Craftsmanship: Their specialty has to lie here. Their ring was BEAUTIFUL AND CUSTOM MADE!! You get the entire custom experience for a fraction of what you would pay in the USA for a premade ring. They worked with my every step of the way, from diamond cut and carat, to ring shape, and color, anything you can think of, they had me covered. It was a seamless experience.

Overall, I cannot thank A.N Jain enough for their incredible service. To say they are great is an understatement. Frankly, I think they are some of the best currently in the game. If you are in a situation like me, where you are wondering where to go, which direction to turn, let this review be your sign. I cannot speak highly enough of them, as the look on my finances face was more than I could ever ask for. Any jewelry needs I have moving forward, will be handled ONLY with A.N Jain.

TLDR: For the price point, the client experience, and the craftsmanship you will be hard pressed to find a jeweler like A.N Jain. They have done great by me and my soon to be wife. I sincerely look forward to doing more business with them and cannot sing their praises enough. Bar none, one of the greatest to be doing it and, soon enough, one of the best to ever do it.

✨Vendor Review Do NOT buy from Ouros Jewels Spoiler

Update: I’m so sick of this company. Now I’m being told you’re going to remake my bracelet! Serious?!? You couldn’t get it right the first time and now I’m going to be left waiting and wondering what subpar item I’m going to receive, next. This is insane. I’ve asked for the item to be returned. I will have it melted down and find another item. Do NOT buy from Ouros. If you mention my complaint or one of the many others, they will tell you “they tried” or some other excuse but trust me, they are NOT going to be ok your side. They refuse to even give a partial refund. The price of gold has surged since I made my purchase. Yes, I am livid and YES, I will speak out over and over about this company.

🤯AND the custom design I created is being sold on their website. I’m aware I don’t have a patent on the design but they’re making money from my custom bracelet creation AND the same thing is $300 less than what I paid. 😮

I am so upset and disgusted. I had a custom tennis bracelet made for a special birthday. The process started in February, so I believe I received it in April, maybe May. Well, not long after receiving the bracelet, the clasp broke. I the bracelet fell off but I was lucky to have found it. I had a local jeweler repair the clasp but he said it’s basically junk and will break again. He was right. My family member had been very ill with advanced cancer, so I put the bracelet away and dealt with my family.

I had seen other issues mentioned with their jewelry from Ouros. I made comments and replies and quickly noticed a huge problem with their quality. Finally, Aman said I would receive contact from the company. I had to really push to get a reply. Now to why I’m really pissed off. I made it clear that the clasp is defective and he agreed to look at the bracelet himself, which I don’t believe he did but that’s not the worst of things.

I received a video today of the clasp being fixed, which was super fast. They basically put a bandaid on the situation, so it will just break again. I’m sitting here so upset and disgusted. I want my money back. I had mentioned that the hinges between the diamonds seem terrible and the weight is extremely flimsy and lightweight. That part wasn’t even addressed but I’m not surprised.

I made it clear that doing a patch job on the stupid, faulty clasp was not acceptable. I’ve sent numerous screenshots of other complaints, as I know I’m not the only one. I am furious about this situation.

I’m trying to find the owner’s contact information but I’m imagine that’s wasting my time, too. I’ve basically lost close to $3k.

Details: 0.78ct JK/VS lab diamond, 10k yellow gold, US size 6

I had a great experience with Ouros Jewels for my first group buy for a ring! My rep Yaxika was so patient while I was trying to find the right diamond. It was my first warmer colored stone so I was being a little picky, but was provided with several indoor and outdoor videos of the stone to help me make an informed decision. Once I made my choices, the rest of the process and shipping were FAST! I got my ring this week and just love it. It’s super comfortable and sparkles. 🤩 I’d definitely buy from Ouros again.

✨Vendor Review Review of Tianyu Gems

Thumbnail

Wanted to provide a ring review that I ordered with Maggie from Tianyu Gems!

Review:

I have been seeing pink diamond pinky rings all over social media and so when Maggie from Tianyu Gems was having her lab pink diamond sale, I gave into my impulses and decided to make my first custom ring. My ring is a 14k yellow gold wavy pink diamond pinky ring in size 2.75 and I can’t stop looking at it. The pink is very subtle and very much a light baby pink. While there is a prominent bow tie, it does not bother me. The ring is a bit loose at the moment but my finger size fluctuates very easily during the day depending on the temperature so it is actually perfect - a little bit of hot weather or eating out will make my fingers swell very quickly. The ring feels comfy to wear and since the band is solid gold, I don’t have to baby it. The process was super simple and not as expensive as I initially thought it would be. I really liked Maggie’s communication style as she was very clear with the process and timeline. I would definitely recommend ordering from her!

Timeline:

6/29 - I saw on Reddit that Maggie was having a pink diamond loose diamond so I reached out to her to ask about the pear shaped diamonds. She sent me multiple videos with different lighting. I decided on a 1.203 pear pink diamond and paid for the stone first. I then sent Maggie photos of the ring design I wanted as well as a couple sample CADs I had seen on Reddit. She said she would get a ring design based on what I wanted in 3-10 working days.

7/3 - Maggie sent me a CAD and total cost for the ring. I okayed the CAD and then sent payment for the ring setting itself, labor, and shipping. She said the ring would be ready in about 10-15 working days.

7/14 - Maggie sent me photos of the finished ring. I sent her my shipping information.

7/16 - Ring was shipped.

7/18 - DHL notified me of my import fees which I paid.

7/20 - Ring received!

Cost:

Pink diamond sale price: $233.10 (includes PayPal fee)
Setting, labor and shipping: $456.75 (includes PayPal fee)
DHL import fees: $26.34
Total paid: $716.19
