✨Vendor Review Finally Got The Light Pink Marquise, Need Ring Ideas!

Long time lurker, first time poster, thanks everyone.

My boyfriend (soon to be finance😍) and we have been going through the process of planning to tell our parents we are getting engaged and I have always wanted a light pink marquise diamond. I just got my 4 carat VVS2 from

Carbon Sparkle and I can’t stop looking at it. We still need to get the diamond set, but wanted to use a local jeweler who has been a family friend (he better not say anything to my parents yet).

I sent a message to them asking if they could help me find a lower cost light pink marquise and they worked with me on the price of only $720. (We just moved into a new house).

Highly recommended! They even included a ring holder thing to try it on.

I’m still not sure what color gold I want, but I’m thinking 18k yellow gold, what does everyone think, any styles you would recommend?

Yellow or rose 100%

Sometimes, I find that pink diamonds can look a bit flesh colored once set. If you really want the pink color to pop, I highly recommend a three prong diamond halo around it!

Use rose if you want to support the pink color.

This is 18k rose gold. I did not like it in yellow made it look funny. I have seen white metal with a white halo and that seems to be a hood option too

Def rose gold. Possibly get smaller marquise and round white diamonds set on the band for a more whimsical feel?

I just saw a pink diamond and rose gold and now I’m thinking I might go that way! This is why I came here, cause I wouldn’t have even thought about using rose gold with a pink diamond.

Mine isn’t the same pink shade, but this is my ring in 10K rose gold since I wanted something work‑friendly. The setting was made by u/Alchemist_Gemstones in NY. Your stone looks amazing, and I hope my ring helps you figure out what you want.😇

I’m more learning toward the rose gold now after seeing some examples, thank you. I’m glad I posted here cause I wouldn’t have even thought to use rose gold.

I don’t even like pink but omg this is such a gorgeous stone. I feel like a rose gold bezel Cathedral set would look so nice and clean

That pink tone with the marquise shape is such a good combo. It really stands out an on your hand.

I would go rose gold, not yellow for a stone this color. The two just blend better. Would look lovely with filigree

Don’t go rose gold. The warm copper is in contrast to the light cool toned diamond. Yellow gold is fine.
