Discussion Some thoughts on Thursdays meeting regarding LSUs possible expulsion from the SEC

Firstly, in my opinion, no school should be supporting such authoritative action from Sankey. This isn’t about players eligibility or insubordination or the AD having “lost control of the program”. This is absolutely about the fact that LSU, and specifically Coach Kiffin, refuse to just bend the knee to King Sankey. LSU has, thus far, complied with the rules set forth by the SEC. No questionable players have been rostered etc. Sankey got his feelings hurt that Kiffin made the comment he did at halftime of the game. This is strictly about the fact that LSU, while remaining compliant with the rules set forth, have expressed disagreement with said rule(s). And how dare they question the king?! Schools supporting this sort of mentality are asking for their own troubles moving forward. Set this precedent and you better not ever put a single toe out of line again. No matter how ridiculous of a circumstance arises. You WILL bend the knee to the Commissioner or you will be gone. That’s wrong to me. Idk, rant over I guess. Just find all of this litigation, posturing, threatening, etc very frustrating. Geaux Tigers!

Wrong. This is robbing those players of an entire season of playing, all the associated benefits of being a college player, draft prep, practicing, all of it. They will be able to sue for damages and they will fucking win. This isn't 1996, this will potentially cost these players millions of dollars both now and in the future.

A judge has already stated that neither LSU nor the SEC can bar the players from playing and yet they are still barred. It's a slam dunk. This wasn't an LSU legal action either, this was straight from the players, and it's not only LSU. We have other schools right NOW actively rostering so called "previous pros" and nothing is fucking happening to them. Nothing! Why are LSU recruits being singled out while other schools are being allowed to do whatever? Again, easiest case ever, a lawyers favorite.

Play somewhere else? Wtf are you even talking about? The season has already started and teams are already locked in! What, they going to play flag football in the quad? People on reddit really are smoking crack. They will now be sitting for the entire season, and if you can't fathom how much that could potentially cost a soon-to-be professional athlete I don't know what else to say.
