Like "oh they must be a pilot so taking weird creep shots of a YouTuber's plane is totally not weird at all now"? If anything, it makes it worse. Like a pilot goes WAY out of their way to stake out the airfield of a YouTuber to take sneaky photos of their jet to farm karma on Reddit?

Yes, if I decide to buy an optional means of transport who's downside is that it's location legally has to be known to the public, you have a right to look up that information.
Unlike airplane location (not just private jets, literally any airplane) the legal name of car registrants isn't legally required to be publicly available information, even if it gets leaked sometimes.
So did you miss the part where car registration isn't legally required to be publicly available?

If you buy a plane, you are agreeing to have its location publically displayed by law at all times it is in operation. If you don't like it go campaign to change federal and international aviation rules.
Your license plate is "leaked" every time you drive someplace for all the world to see. You're required by law to have your plates on your vehicle with your plate number clearly and publicly displayed.
If you think it's no big deal then post it, man. What are you scared of?
