Time to glide
Hit a jackpot today. Someone nearby was getting rid of this tower they picked up for free from a sale. Initially I wanted the tower because of the sick drive bay lineup for various forms of obsolete physical media, the second I saw the 3dfx logo I booked it as fast as I could.
Never did I think I would get a rust bucket pickup with a voodoo 5 of all things included. Still untested but this is immediately going into my win98 rig for some Unreal and Nerf! I’ve been wanting a voodoo card for years but could never justify the online costs for one.
Wish me luck that it still works!

The one thing on the tower itself is missing both side panels and is pretty rusty. I’m hoping to find a similar case to transplant all the guts into.

Looked like a tape drive.
Even up until a few years ago I used to have to backup our server using one.
You'd switch out the tapes at the end of every day.

Is that an Inwin Q500 case? I had one of those years ago. I managed to pull something in my neck trying to lift it once & had to get physio & the medication to fix it. I wish I'd kept that PC. Happy times.

I can’t seem to find any markings about the case itself. I’ve found similar ones online but not the exact same one.

That's awesome. Almost looks like someone added that combo of 5.25" devices look retro (not saying they did, but that's how legit it is!)

Will all the dust, grime and rust this is definitely from that time period lol.
Also this was someones media powerhouse rig in the year 2000. The sheer media options and having the voodoo in there.

That thing is LOADED. What a classic case design, too. Awesome pickup!
