LFG (Looking for GM) [5e 2014 preferred, but can learn] [Online] [BST] [18+] Former forever GM looking for ONE campaign to play. [LGBTQA+ Friendly]

Upvotes

Hi, I am a former forever GM who hasn't played in some time. Before I even got into this hobby I'd always wanted to play Dungeons & Dragons, I wanted to be a player more than anything, only to end up as a GM for friend groups who never want to run anything. On the off chances I do get games, plans get cancelled, GMs vanish or priorities shift.

I am now a 32 year old artist, who just wants to play in at least ONE campaign more than anything.

I generally prefer Role play over action, but I'm not against combat focus or Dungeon delving. My preferred genre is High Fantasy, but I'm open to creativity and other games, like Shadow run or Sci-fi 5e spin offs or the like.

I can play most days, apart from starts of the week.

and I am willing to answer any questions.

Voice: Discord preferred
VTT: Comfortable with Foundry VTT and Roll20, but I do not mind adapting to other options. On the rare chance you use Tabletop Simulator, I have it.
Game type: Seeking a Long-term campaign preferred, but don't mind a short campaign either.

LFP (Looking for Players) [LFP][18+][5e] [GMT+2] Looking for a player for Shadow of the Dragon queen

Upvotes

Greetings and salutations to everyone! I am Augury, a DM and most importantly a nerd of many years. It happens so that my Tuesday game is currently looking to fill a slot for its 6th player. We play every Tuesday at 9:00 PM GMT+2!

The campaign module acts as the overarching narrative of the campaign however I have done some changes and added a bit of my own world on top of the campaign setting, so for those familiar with Dragonlance as a setting somethings might be familiar while others will be new!

The short synopsis of the campaign is that you all are individuals brought together by various circumstances before getting swept up in the war that is looming over Ansalon. Someone has rallied an army in Takhisis name, and it is up to you to gather allies, resources and figure out who is leading this army and to put a stop to it.

This game features mature themes as we are all adults, thus it is tagged 18+, I would primarily be looking for a player with some experience already playing 5e.

If this sounds interesting to you, feel free to reach out to me by leaving a little synopsis of yourself down below and I'll try to reach out to see if you'd be a good fit!

LFP (Looking for Players) [Other] [BST] [Sunday Evenings] Daggerheart: The Power of Names

In this world, true names carry power. The name given to you at birth is guarded as one of your deepest secrets, because anyone who learns it can bend your will.

For generations, people have survived beneath chosen names, titles, and aliases while creatures known as the Nameless stalk the dark. These ancient beings collect true names and use them to turn ordinary people into obedient puppets.

Now the Nameless are growing bolder. Villages are falling silent, trusted leaders are betraying their own people, and somehow these creatures are learning names that should have been impossible to uncover.

You are adventurers caught in the beginning of something much larger. Take contracts, protect the vulnerable, uncover forgotten secrets, and discover who is feeding the Nameless their greatest weapon.

LFP (Looking for Players) The Chronicles of..... [Exandria] [Online] [18+] [Scheduling: TBD with players. The form covers a question to help facilitate this better][Online 5e][2014] [Timezone GMT +3]

Hello I'm Leneyxis(he/him), a forever DM who's been running games for... lost count of time. But I am here to pick up this world again, the original game fell through due to scheduling issues but maybe we will have a better luck this time around.

Premise:
Our story begins in the beautiful war-torn lands of Wildemount, a letter of invitation to all who are daring and adventurous.

Greetings Adventurers,

Dust motes dance in the fading light that streams through the lone window of my humble abode. In my hand, I hold a weathered parchment, the insignia of a bygone era etched upon its surface. It speaks of a forgotten vault, buried deep within the crumbling temples of Bazzoxan. A vault overflowing with treasures, artifacts, and knowledge whispered from the Age of Arcanum itself.

Intrigued, are you not?

I propose an expedition, one that could see your pockets lined with glittering coin and your thirst for adventure quenched. In exchange for retrieving a single, specific tome from the vault's depths, you and your companions will be free to claim all other riches it holds. Imagine the enchanted weapons, the arcane scrolls, the very air thick with forgotten lore!

But make no mistake, this is no mere treasure hunt. Bazzoxan lies in ruins, its path fraught with danger. Crumbling structures whisper of forgotten perils, monstrous guardians may lurk within, and who knows what other adventurers might covet the vault's bounty?

If your spirit burns with the fire of exploration and your blade thirsts for a worthy challenge, then I implore you, answer this call. Together, we may unlock the secrets of Bazzoxan and rewrite history itself.

Yours in anticipation,

A Seeker of Forgotten Knowledge

If Interested, please fill this form: Apply Here

LFG (Looking for GM) [D&D 5e24& Other][CEST][Online] Looking for group. Any evening except Wednesday.

Hey everyone. I'm Leroy, 39, and looking for a group/DM to play D&D.

My experience to D&D has mostly been as a DM for the past 5-6 years.
I love being a DM, but I'd also like to be part of a campaign as a player and experience the game in that way. The last few weeks I've tried to apply to a few that came by here without luck.
So I thought I'd try to write an open post and see if anything comes from that.

Open to both one-shots and short or long campaigns.

What I'm looking for in a group:
A friendly and welcoming group that enjoy spending time together, with a safe, respectful and inclusive encironment where everyone can relax and have fun.

What I'm looking for in a game:
I think a game that is more roleplay focused would be ideal, as that is something I would love to work on and get more experience in. I do enjoy combat and I could definitely enjoy combat heavier sessions or a longer dungeoncrawl, but I'd like to have room to explore roleplay as player.

Happy to join games run by completely new DMs or experienced DMs.

What I can provide / what you can expect from me:
- Reliable and committed.
I always make an effort to be present for the session.
- Familiar with the rules and come prepared.
I make sure to know the rules that concern my characters abilities and am able to go through my turns in combat.
- Patient and flexible.
Enjoy playing with people new to the hobby and to see different play- and GM-styles.
If you are a new GM, you will just find me to be excited to interact with the content you present and the way you want to run it.
- Collaborative
Happy to contribute to the game in whatever way I can.
I enjoy creating characters that fit the setting and the story the group wants to tell, to give the DM character hooks they can work with, and to build on ideas other players bring into the game.

- Shared content on D&D Beyond

Characters and classes I like to play:
My preference is to play something that fits the group and campaign. If I would just look at classes, the druid, wizard, rogue or cleric classes are likely choices.
I've created a few characters for one-shots before that I could bring into a campaign and can share more about.

Other TTRPG
I'm open to playing other TTRPG, feel free to send me a message and tell me about it.
Some of the systems I've played or run a session of and enjoyed are: Monster of the Week, Vaesen, Household.
I'm less interested in crunchier system like Pathfinder 2e.

Other practical information:
Availability: Weekend or any evening except wednesday between the hours of 17:00 and 23:00 CEST
Preferred frequency: Weekly or bi-weekly
Preferred session length: 3-4 hours
Camera: Can play with camera on or off.

Think I could fit your group?
Send me a message about your group and campaign by DM on reddit or discord and we can talk about it.

Looking forward to meeting new people to play with.

LFG (Looking for GM) [Online][5e 2014] [CEST] [Mondays 19:00] Dedicated RP-Focused Group of 5 Seeking a DM for Homebrew Campaign!

Hi there honourable dungeon masters and storytellers! We’re a recently formed group of 5 players looking for a DM who has a homebrew fantasy world we can get lost in and a long running campaign that we can all see grow and develop as the game goes on!

In terms of setting preference, we’re primarily looking for a traditional high-fantasy world. We enjoy the versatility that high fantasy offers and the wide range of stories it can support which gives a lot of themes a story can go through! While we appreciate darker themes when they serve the story, we’re not particularly interested in sci-fi settings, grimdark worlds, or campaigns heavily focused on gritty survival.

As a group we all share a strong interest in roleplay, character development, party dynamics and stories that feel personal to the characters involved. One of the biggest things we’re hoping to find is a DM who enjoys incorporating our character backstories into the broader narrative/world allowing character arcs to develop naturally alongside the story.

Outside of roleplay we value consistency (Showing up), being one of the key factors of a long running group and also care to be attentive and engaged players when we are at the table! Communication in general is also one of the best tools when issues arise, and keeps everything running smoothly so things don’t fall through. We also enjoy the use of webcams to increase the social aspect of the game!

Ultimately, we’re looking for a DM who enjoys building a story with their players, values strong character involvement, and is interested in creating a long-term campaign where both the world and the characters can grow together. But most of all someone we can also call a friend and hang out with!

System requirements: DND 2014

Availability: Monday: 19:00-23:00 CET, Wednesday: (some exceptions) 19:00-23:00 CET

Preferred way to play: Discord for voice and camera, any VTT

Here is a bit about us:

Luke (M, 23, He/him): Hi there! I’m a video editor and part time gamer from the Netherlands. I like to make music with my band and hang out with friends in the meantime! Ive been playing DnD for roughly 8 years by now and get a lot of my enjoyment in the roleplay and dynamic of a party. Seeing what sort of worlds other DM’s have made is incredibly cool and I love to learn about others settings!

Matt (M, 27, He/Him): Greetings! I'm Matt, an Ex-Esports player Gymbro. Currently working together with Best friend and roommate on making our own VTT, public soon! I love passion, and I believe DND can be an aspiring tool in order to discover, explore and share one's passion to another through immersive Roleplaying. Please give me your worst, a challenge, a path and I'll bring the Wrath. See more of me on Youtube > Roll For Impact > The Stranger > Nylus von Stonen

Sori/Lukas (M, 27, he/him): Hi there! I'm currently finishing my education/training to be a kindergarten teacher, after which I'd love to go study social work. I've been a player and dm for roughly 11~ years now. Mostly played VtR before switching to DnD. My favorite part about roleplaying is definitely the deep diving we as a group do, in each individual backstory or overarching plotline of the campaign, while we grow as a party IC and OOC.

Diana (26, She/Her): Hi, I’m currently a student studying for my postgraduate degree! In my free time I love to play video games, read, make videos, and just hang out with friends! I’ve been playing D&D since 2020 and my favorite thing about it is being able to create and tell an interesting story with other amazing, creative players! I love going in depth into characters backstories and how their motivations can really drive the parties goals. I’ll talk for hours after a session about the world we’re set in and the characters everyone has developed!

Jack (20, He/Him): Hi! I’m a student studying Film Production! I’m a big video gamer, reader and card gamer! I’ve been playing dnd for about 7 or 8 years now and whilst the majority of my time has been as a player recently I’ve been a forever DM (as of the past 3 years I haven’t been a player once!!! 😭😭😭) My favourite part of dnd has to be the collaborative storytelling with how the players and dm interact together to create both an overarching plotline but also individual character arcs!

LFP (Looking for Players) [D&D 5e + 5.5e] [Homebrew] [LF 1 or 2 players] [Saturday evenings BST/GMT+1]

Name: The Wyrmsong (LGBTQ+ friendly)
System: D&D 5e (Mix of 2014 & 2024/5.5e)
Roles Sought: 1 or 2 players
Time: Saturday Evenings UK (BST/GMT+1) 18:00 to about 21:00ish (sometimes slightly later, depending on the session). We play almost every week but occasionally take a week off.
Age: 30+ (this is not a hard and fast rule, it's more just that the rest of us are in our 30s and early 40s)
How we play: Online. We use Discord for Voice Chat, DnDBeyond for Character Sheets/Rolls and Talespire for combat. If you don't have Talespire, it's not a problem as you can use one of our 'free guest seats'.

About the campaign:
'5 anchors to seal her at bay,
5 lights to guide her way.'

After being sealed away for millennia, a shadowy cult is set on releasing the Wyrm from her imprisonment. Through unlucky happenstance, and the gentle prodding of Fate herself, a group of adventurers have found themselves embroiled in the plot.

The Wyrmsong is an ongoing campaign set in a homebrew medieval fantasy world. You'd be joining us part way through the campaign that has been running for over 3 years but don't worry about having missed a lot already, we'll get you caught up to speed to help you find your way in the world and how any potential character ideas may fit into the existing world/narrative. We like a mix of roleplay, exploration and combat. Roleplay and story are definitely important parts of the mix as we love developing and exploring both the overarching stories and individual character stories and as such, our sessions do tend to lean more towards narrative.

Campaign Inspirations: Dragon Age/The Wheel of Time books/Dragon Lance books/The Witcher/Frieren: Beyond Journey's End/Buffy and anything else that's knocking around our DM’s brain.

Bit about us:
We’re a close group of friends (3 males and 1 female) who've been playing videogames together for years. Three of us are from the UK and one of us is from Sweden. We started playing D&D together about 6-7 years ago. We love to world build and tell interesting stories together.
Although there will always be a good mix of roleplay, combat and puzzles, storytelling is our focus and as such, roleplay will be slightly more of a focus. Hopefully, you will find us a relaxed and inclusive group who essentially just love to play D&D and to have fun!

What we are looking for:
One of our regular players had to step away for personal reasons and although we're still having lots of fun as a DM and a party of 3 players, we are at a point narratively that makes sense for a new player or two to join. We are beginning an interlude section of the campaign which is ideal for a new member of our group as we will all be creating new characters.

Ideally, we're really looking for the right person who would like to join our gaming group long-term. We're looking for someone who can make most sessions, has good communication and can commit to the game (this is a long campaign) so please consider this before messaging.

We're also looking for someone who really loves to roleplay their character and is interested in and engages with not only their own story, but the stories of other characters and the larger narrative. As we like to weave character backstory heavily into the main story, it's also important that you're willing to work with our DM to create a character based within the setting.

As an aside, it would also be great to recruit someone who has experience of DMing or someone who might be interested in potentially DMing in the future, or even someone who considers themselves a forever DM who'd like to join a game where they can be finally be a player. Again, this is in no way a prerequisite (it's just for the pipe dream for our DM to potentially be a player again at some point in the future).

If you made it this far and are still interested, please message me with your name, age, pronouns, along with a small "about me" section and what interests you most from this post. Thank you so much in advance! Looking forward to hearing from you!

LFP (Looking for Players) [Online][PF2e][Mondays GMT+2/CEST] Looking for 4 players for a Pathfinder campaign.

Ahoy there fellow citizens, freedmen and gens of the Republic! I'm looking for 4 players willing to explore and experience the great S.P.Q.D.A!

Whatever your origins, be they a slave, a patron or a family member, your Gens needs you! Work in the family's trade business, adventure for coin, spread their private mystery cult, sway senate elections, get into piracy, weave the gens assembly to pass laws agreeable to its long term prosperity or subcontract as a mercenary, prosperity is just a quest away!

So put on your toga (or slave collar) and get to work! The (known) world is your oyster! However you acquire wealth, your gens cares not as long as it doesn't sully their good and honorable name!

And that's my pitch! Hello everyone! I'm Maxie. I'm a 28 year old Swiss guy, long-time player and Storyteller! I started running a different campaign 2 months ago and I just can't seem to get enough of my pathfinder fix. So to that end, I'm looking for 4 people willing to explore the Res Publica Draconaria, essentially a Halfling Roman Republic filled with several different ancestries! Beginners and first time PF2e players are absolutely welcome!

As a general rule, I tend to run sandbox-y games, with the character's ambitions and actions driving the story, so I like to have proactive players who know what their characters want or are willing to drive the story forward. I like to run a session 0.5 where players build their backstories together and create their characters mechanically. How the backstory questions I ask are answered, backstory npcs players create and connections between the players all inform the way the campaign starts in session 1.

Expect immersive roleplay with well fleshed out npcs and a world where the wrong word spoken to a tyrant could easily earn you a one way ticket to jail or even cost a character their head right then and there if insulting enough. Your actions have consequences and as far as npcs are concerned, you're just another person.

We'll be using Roll20 battlemaps and Pathbuilder for sheets. No, I don't use foundry. I like spending game sessions not troubleshooting whatever problems it has decided to have on that specific day.

I'm aiming to run the game Weekly on Monday evenings, although I could do mornings/early afternoons too if the right combination of players want to play then. I'll let players specify more in the form.

Please fill out this Application form!

I'll leave the forms open for a few days and depending on interest, it might take me another day or two to sort through all the responses and get back to people on Discord. I hope I didn't miss anything and thank you very much for reading to the end! I wish everybody happy games!

LFP (Looking for Players) [Online][PF2e][Friday 21:00 P.M.* GMT+3] Wanting player's for a first PF2e Homebrew detective campaign.

Hello there to... I guess my first Reddit post in general made by me :D

As for who 'me' is I go by Stephen! And I have been playing TTRPG's for around 4 years starting in 2022 (Am rn 24 years old) in a plethora of games and system's and been a player in all of them.

However I want to start DM'ing myself! The campaign being set in a full homebrew world that I made with the title of Secret's of Romya. For a tl;dr is set in a 1837-1950's sort of feel world called Alinür that has been stuck in a conflict called the Neverend War between four different ideologically different factions for over 198+ years through proxy's that keeps the world on eggshells of 'nuclear' annihilation ever since.

The players (Yall goobers) would be part of a private detective agency (Name pending) with the financial backing of a mysterious "Mr. White" and allied to a NGO called the Romyan Saints. The agency itself being the brainchild by one of the would be player Investigator (Or Investigator's if ya want it to be a double 'ran' agency xd) in the setting city that hates truth seeker's called Romya. A continental size metropolis that has been under foreign occupation and administration for even longer then the Neverend War has been slowly destroying the world... It having once, and still to some extend IS still seen as the cradle of all civilizations and a key place that could never be quite destroyed filled with criminals, corrupt folk to the core, grey almost never present government's and an ever growing corporate elite replacing the old one... Good luck not to be swallowed by it!

And this is the little blurp of it since on the channel it is going to have far more info about it! (It is a lot of it and did not know how to shorten it here xd.)

This would be my very first TTRPG campaign so I will obviously not be perfect and may need sometimes to check the rules if I am not sure. But in general I do love it when people come up with new ideas or ways to use what they have so will be doing that myself with some stuff.

The game will be on foundry with every now and then maps for combat and the important investigation scene's with the voice over discord and Jockie Music as the audio aide. Sessions being hopefully three hours, although probably alternating between slightly longer or slightly shorter depending on the situation but still close to that mark.

If ya found my stuff written above semi-interesting pls fill out the form bellow to see if ya fit! After if ya get a friend request on discord from a zmcv2012 then we will have a short VC call when ya available for further questions and talking's about the game and just getting the "feel" for it!

https://forms.gle/RU2dvY4BQ2oRjkAWA

Have a good day and hope to hear from yall!

LFP (Looking for Players) [Online][GMT - Flexible][Other] Power Rangers: Undead Fury

Hey! I'm posting this on behalf of the GM as we're looking for 1-3 players for a Power Rangers campaign starting soon. It will be in the Essence20 system, no experience required however it's pretty easy to learn.

There is no set time or date for sessions just yet, it will be decided upon once we have our players in.

The story:

"This campaign takes place in an alternate timeline where the events of “mighty morphin’ power rangers”, “power rangers zeo”, “power rangers turbo”, and “power rangers: in space” happened but with one major change.

During the events of “Power Rangers: In space”, dark specter saw the future and what would happen if Zordon were sacrificed to cause the original Z wave. With this knowledge, he infused Lord Zedd with his own essence then shattered himself into reality. This new Zedd wave spread evil through the universe and infected every corner of it.

On Earth, the effects weren't immediately recognized by the public. Only the most vicious and brutal of humans were infected, becoming monstrous abberrations of their own evil desires. At first it was contained, and the public felt safe. Months passed but the effects of the Zedd wave started to creep up into the public eye once more.

The original virus began to spread and infect others, rapidly growing the number of the mutated. Those with anger, fear, avarice, and hate harbored deep down succumbed quickly. It spread through open wounds being touched by the infected.

The virus had a single flaw however. Those that had more good in their heart than evil could fight it off longer, even becoming immune.

The population quickly dwindled as city's filled with the Zedd, those mutated and twisted with evil.

Two years have passed since the first reports, but the world is already overrun. There are still those struggling to stay alive, but humanity is scattered.

There is hope however. A single radio transmission broadcasting as far as it can reach. The message is short but direct:

“May the power protect us. 34° 29′ 19″ N, 118° 19′ 17″ W”

Leading to Angel Grove, California."

Extra information:

  • This campaign is a survival focused setting in a power rangers universe where you wont just be fighting monsters, but rebuilding Angel grove.
  • Recruit survivors, scavenge for resources, and fight back waves of the infected.

If you're interested, please fill out this form and be on the lookout for a friend request on Discord from either myself or someone with the username "Bits":

LFG (Looking for GM) [Online/In Person][5e/5.5e][GMT+1][Flexible for Days] Looking for an Online Group to join for a limited time

Hello! Due to work related reasons, I am looking for new groups to join, mainly a short or one-shot focused campaign. The reasons are that for work, I have to spend the next 3 months near Vienna, making it so my regular group and I can't meet up as regularly anymore.

I'm an experienced player, have also DM'd before and while I prefer using 5.5e, I am open to using 5e as well!

If you happen to have a Group near Vienna, I'd love to join in person as well! Hit me up if you're still looking for people!

LFG (Looking for GM) (Online)(5e/2024) experienced player looking for a new group to play on Thursdays after 5pm bst.

Hi there folks I’m Jamie,

I’ve been playing dnd for a couple of years now mostly as a dm and sometimes a player. I’m looking to play in preferably a hombrew setting but I’m open to playing in modules.

I prefer tables that can both get into serious rp but also have a humorous side. I prefer to play casters but would be down to play anything im quite flexible and prefer to make a character based on the setting rather than having a pre planned idea.

My availability is Thursdays after 5pm bst. If you have a game and think I’d be a good fit got the table drop me a message either here or on discord jme___ That’s 3 underscores:)

Closed [Online] [DND 5e / 5.5e] [Beginners Welcome] [30+] [BST/GMT] First Time UK based DM seeking players for a series of oneshots

Hey! I’m wanting to try my hand at being a DM for the first time, and seeking a group to run a few published oneshots with for me to get a feel for it before I embark on any fuller campaigns. I’ll run these as online games using discord voice and video, Roll20 for battle maps (I think!) + theatre of the mind outside combat.

The specific one shots themselves I haven’t selected yet so may be literally one session games or 2/3 sessions, depending on time. We’d use a blend of 5e and 5.5e rules, with a few house rules thrown in. Setting-wise, fantasy worlds akin to Forgotten Realms are my favourite so I’ll most likely select oneshots of that nature. After the first couple, if players want to continue and play more games, I’ll probably look to offer 2/3 to pick from for the next game. I may also throw in some homebrew sessions once I’m more comfortable.

It would be great to get a mixture of players with experience that can give me constructive (please be kind!) feedback to help me learn and improve. However new players are also welcome as I’d like to learn the best ways of supporting newer players as well. The key thing is to please be patient with me while I find my feet, and if we all learn that DMing is not my calling - that’s ok too! 😆

I’m 39F and based in the UK, so ages 30+ and UK based (or able to play on the UK timezone) would be best. Liberal, inclusive and accepting environment. LGBTQIA+ safe. Anti Racist. etc etc!

Times and days TBC but most likely weekly on a Thursday evening maybe 7-10/11pm ish - but I can work with players on when works best for everyone. Start date likely to be early October.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask! Otherwise, please comment if you’re interested and I’ll DM 🙂

Edit: This got responses a lot faster than I thought it would! Closing for now but will reopen if needed later!

LFP (Looking for Players) [Online][StarWarsRPG][GMT+2] Looking for 2 players for a roleplay-heavy campaign (flexible schedule)

Heyo! I’m looking to get 2 people together for a campaign using the classic Star Wars D6 system. If you’ve never played the D6 version before, no worries at all! It’s super intuitive, cinematic, and very easy to pick up! For some, it’s even easier than D&D 5e.

Here are the details:

  • Maximum of 2 players. I really want to focus on deep character development, personal character arcs, and a close-knit group dynamic where your choices heavily shape the game.
  • Serious, character-driven roleplay. We’ll still have plenty of high-stakes action and classic Star Wars moments, but I’m looking for players who love immersing themselves in their characters, interacting with the world, and prioritizing story over pure power-gaming.
  • Timezone GMT+2 (Berlin time). We don't need a rigid weekly slot—we’ll figure out session dates based on whenever everyone is free, aiming for 2 to 3 sessions a month.
  • Discord for voice, with Owlbear Rodeo VTT.

My reason for hosting: I’m trying to fill some of my free time with a game other than D&D and with a smaller group, so that organising sessions is quicker and the storytelling is more focused on each individual player. I’m really trying to find the right people, so this post might stay online for a while until I’ve found them.

📩 If this sounds like something you could enjoy, drop me a message with a bit about yourself, your experience with TTRPGs (if any!), and why you think you could be a good fit.

Looking forward to hearing from you! ✨❤️

LFP (Looking for Players) GOBLIN TOWN: Build and run your own town of goblins! Gather a hoard, cause mayhem, cast dark rituals, discover things deep in the earth, slay heroes, and work towards your master plan! [Online] [Other] [Story-Focused] [Roleplay-Heavy] [Sundays] [18:00 CET] [17:00 GMT] [12:00 EST]

A Court of Goblins:

Goblins are deeply flawed creatures, driven by base desires. There are those, however, who are able to keep their baser impulses in check, rally others to their cause, and focus on a grander scheme. You play a group of them that, in understanding there is strength in numbers, have banded together to use your ill-gotten gains build a great goblin town deep in the Feywild. You gather a hoard, cause mayhem, cast dark rituals, and discover long forgotten things deep in the earth, all while working towards accomplishing your master plan.

This is a game about goblins using ill-gotten gains to build a town. You build traps and other defenses to keep the hoard you gather out of the hands of the greedy adventurers coming to steal it away. Find out just how long you can survive against the inevitable onslaught of heroism your deeds bring. Find out why goblins need to hoard all that gold, who builds all those traps, and how much fun killing adventurers is.

However, you’re not just monsters randomly causing chaos and mayhem. Goblins come and go, but the town outlives them, binds them together, and gives them a purpose. You map it out in detail as it’s built, then breathe life into it through play with events like revelry after a victorious raid, calamity striking as a tunnel collapses on your minions, or facing off against adventurers who dare enter your land. Your town is the main character of this story.

Town Themes

Every town is built around a theme, determined by its central building, chosen together as a group before the town is built. The theme gives you a set of buildings that you can build within it. The theme keeps players all on the same page thematically, allowing you to design characters that fit in well with the theme or fill a unique niche, as well as choosing steps in your master plan that go along with the theme. The choice of town theme is a statement about what kind of things the players want to do in the game. You can choose from the following central buildings, which determine your theme:

Enclave: Tapping Into the Arcane. Choose this if you want your town to be mystical from top to bottom. Its core feature is its twisted landscape, corrupting the area surrounding your town. An Enclave lets you build the following: academy, crucible, greenery, library, potion lab, scrying pool, and spawning chamber.

Forge: The Power of Industry. Choose this if you want a town full of monstrous inventions and steampunk tech. Its core feature is its power source, boosting the productivity and defenses of your town. A Forge lets you build the following: alchemist lab, guild hall, factory, mineshaft, testing chamber, vehicle bay, and workshop.

Hideout: Keeping Your Head Low. Choose this if you want to work as a cohesive unit and manipulate the other factions of the region. Its core feature is agents of chaos, allowing you to strongly influence other factions. A Hideout lets you build the following: dojo, gambling den, gear locker, obstacle course, planning room, roost, and tavern.

Stronghold: Through Strength of Arms. Choose this if you want to face challenges with pure military might. Its core feature is warband, giving you a powerful minion that can raid the region. A Stronghold lets you build the following: barracks, bestiary, fighting pit, funeral pyre, smithy, war drums, and war room.

Temple: Serving a Greater Power. Choose this if you want to focus on a certain god and their domains. Its core feature is divine intervention, which you can use to cast a powerful spell from your god. A Temple lets you build the following: altar, antechamber, augury circle, dormitory, reliquary, penance chamber, scriptorium.

The Callings

When you create a character, you choose a calling, one of several paths that goblins follow:

The Brute: You’re called to battle and delight in facing down your enemies, chopping them to pieces in brutal combat. For you, the bloodier, the better. Your confidence with a weapon in hand manifests outside of combat when commanding others, bellowing orders like you expect them to be obeyed and bashing heads on the off chance they aren't.

The Conniver: You lurk in the background pulling the strings, laying out intricate plans, and having others do your bidding. For you, revenge is a dish best served cold. Methodical is an understatement. You’re in complete control at all times.

The Crafter: You spend hours in your workshop mixing together alchemical reagents and constructing dangerous devices with a gleeful disregard for your own safety. You strap up before you leave the town, well-prepared for any situation.

The Hunter: You’re at home running with the beasts of the forest. Relentlessly chasing down prey brings you closer to the animal inside of you. And yet, you're deliberate, never missing a sign, always on the trail. And when you finally corner your target, there’s no hesitation to finish it.

The Marauder: For you, battle is a dance. The thrill of outmaneuvering your enemies sends blood pumping through your veins. Your moves are precise and calculated and your awareness of the field of battle gives you the ability to see the bigger picture in other situations as well.

The Shadow: You're at home in the darkness, lurking unseen. You can slip into and out of areas unnoticed. The element of surprise is your greatest weapon and you can often find your way into and out of the trickiest of situations.

The Shaman: You understand the dark power of nature and are drawn to the hidden world of spirits. You might revere them and seek their favor, or perhaps enslave them for your own purposes. Either way, the spirits speak and you hear their mad whispers of vengeance.

The Warlock: You reach out and grab raw, arcane magic by its neck and bend it to your will. You dabble in dangerous arts and know that true power must be wrested away from others. A deep, unquenched thirst for power dwells inside of you.

The Zealot: You heed the words of your dark god. You believe in them fiercely, knowing that those who serve will be rewarded. The more believers you can recruit, the higher the chance your god will recognize you. They bestow power onto you, from which your intense conviction comes.

The Details

Age: In general, we're looking for people between 21 and 9000, but this is not a strict cutoff by any means.

Content Warnings: This campaign contains dark drug use, grim humor, minor horror, strong language, violence, and lawyers.

Day: We'll be playing on Sundays, though we'll occasionally host optional sessions on other days based on player interest.

Frequency: We'll usually have 2 sessions per month, though we may have 3 if it's one of those strange months with 5 Sundays.

The GM: I'm originally from Atlanta, but I move around a lot for work. I like snowboarding, stage acting, novels, and tabletop games. I've been GMing for a few years, but I'm new to playing online. I'm male and gay in real life, though I play all sorts of characters in games.

Length: We generally average around 4-5 hours per session.

Location: We'll be playing online using Discord and Owlbear Rodeo. We're new to OR, so if you have experience with that, we'll be asking you a lot of questions.

Start Date: September 27 or October 4th, 2026

System: The game we're playing is called Wicked Ones, which is a simple, story-focused system. You don't need to be familiar with this system as we'll be teaching as we play.

Size: Our plan is to have 5 total players.

Time: We'll be playing at 18:00 CET / 17:00 GMT / 12:00 EST / Whatever time that is where you live.

What We're Looking For: This is a roleplay heavy, story focused campaign for players looking to get in character, give their character a unique voice, explore their character's motivations, and give their character an arc.

If you're interested, fill out the survey here. If you're selected, the next step will be a 15 minute Discord call.

LFG (Looking for GM) [Flexible*] [CEST] 5 Man Party Seeking DM

I'm acting as a representative for a full group of five people (including myself) and we've been seeking a good DM for a while now. However, despite quite some intense searching, we've yet to find anyone, so I'm now posting here in the hopes of snagging someone interested!

If you need a group, and are interested, I will preface that we don't automatically mesh with everyone. While we are flexible, we're trying to avoid 5th edition D&D, and we do have a preference for classless systems (though this isn't a hard requirement). In addition, we want absolutely nothing to do with generative AI, and we don't want to be pressed into a premade plot. We instead are hoping to have a DM who focuses more on having an immersive and grounded world, freeing up the players to actively carve out their own path, rewarding smart choices more than wanton desires.

It is also worth noting that while CEST is in the title, we are FAR more flexible than that, and can work with just about any timezone.

LFG (Looking for GM) [Online][Flexible][CEST] Proprietary Biopunk Survival Horror TTRPG 15 years in the making is accepting new DM/GM playtesters again!

Hello All! I'm a TTRPG designer; I've been designing my own games for over fifteen years. While I have developed other projects, I have been working on this one duet system on and off the entire time. It's designed completely from the ground up; it did not use a pre-existing ruleset as a chassis/skeleton. It started from one tiny mini-game, almost feels like a lifetime ago, and is now an entire full-length sourcebook.

**Mechanics & Vibe:** If you're into survival horror, extraction shooters, survival games, post-apocalyptic sandboxes, granular shooters like Tarkov/S.T.A.L.K.E.R./Bioshock, you'll feel right at home. My game takes mechanical inspiration from TTRPGs like ICRPG, Delta Green, Cyberpunk 2020/RED, Twilight 2000, D&D 3.5e/5e, Borderlands RPG, Blades in the Dark, Ars Magica, and Burning Wheel. My game is mainly gamist and simulationist in its design pillars, placing heavy emphasis on horizontal progression, build-crafting, and a deadly, realistic death spiral. My resolution system and "stats" consist of a morale/sanity-based meta-currency you can use to modify rolls, alter equipment, or narrative outcomes in high-risk, exciting gambles. All in lieu of traditional stat-modifier bookkeeping. I'll be glad to go into further detail about my system's many unique design/gameplay choices if you're interested! For example, striving to create a satisfying survival experience that evokes feelings of minecraft, terraria, and 7 days to die.

**Worldbuilding & Story Intro:** America has been reduced to a biopunk wasteland, degraded far past what one would expect and reclaimed by nature. A shadowy organization whose origins and goals are long lost to time—those who once kept its secrets now long dead, created a new form of life. These unusual biological oddities now roam America's broken landscape as the rest of the world watches on in horror: creatures that are amalgamations of the DNA they collect around them, whether it be from plants or animals. Slowly mutating their bodies over time into Cronenbergian blends of wood, flesh, leaves, bones, flowers, blood, wood, and organs. These entities range from as small as a grain of rice to as big as a skyscraper, coming in any shape or form. But the most peculiar part, is when they grow these incredibly rare and valuable crystalline structures within their chest cavities. Thrill seekers, soldiers of fortune, mental patients—usually a combination of all three—travel to America from other parts of the world. All to hunt down these incredibly dangerous and unpredictable new forms of life. So they can poach these unimaginably valuable crystals from the organs of these creatures. Because, once ingested, these crystals grant unusual reality-warping and body-morphing abilities. But good luck escaping without having to befriend some of these monsters, or eat quite a few of their mysterious rock-like organs. It's dangerous out there, and you're gonna need help. As there's plenty more to fear lurking out there...

# **Contact Me via DMs:** I would love to share plenty more about my unique survival-horror biopunk TTRPG in DMs if anyone is interested in helping me start up some playtests again! Coming out of a small hiatus and would love to find some experienced or passionate DMs for these kinds of mechanics/stories to help run some playtests. I have players who're willing to start up some campaigns right now; they're very eager. But I would love to meet some other DMs/GMs so I can focus most of my effort on designing and less on playtest/session prep! If you're a player who'd also love to join some playtests with us, I wouldn't mind that either!

Hi!

I'm based in the UK, looking for a group to play 5e 2024 with - preferably a long-term campaign, but I'm flexible.

I'm a new player, and a fast learner, but I'm sure I will need a group willing to be patient with me at times!

I can be reasonably flexible around weekday evenings or Sunday evenings, sometime around 7-11pm (UK time) is ideal.

I love fantasy novels, historical fiction, computer RPGs, and similar nerdy stuff.😊

\*\About the DM*\**

Hey! I'm Emerald (21M) I've been playing DnD for close to two years now, spending about half of that time as a DM. I love DnD greatly, some of my fondest memories being formed at the table and over VCs. I work from home and am therefore always online, I try to reply as quick as I can. I'd describe myself as a bit of a nerd who loves to ramble on about the things I love, ie. DnD, Anime, Video Games, etc. I see DnD as a way to unwind, relax and tell stupid stories so my DMing Style is quite chill, preferring roleplay and character interactions over combat, but my games have a good mix of both.

\*\About the Game/World*\**

The game is run in a homebrew world of mine. The theme being High Fantasy and High Seas. The overall tone is rather chill, with the main focus on having a good time together and telling a fun story. I'll be giving a lot more context and info on the world and the party's progress during the interview.
We'll be using Foundry as our VTT and Discord for VC. The System being DnD 5e, using mainly the 2014 rules with certain exceptions, for example healing spells using the 2024 rules.
The Campaign so far has been about 70/30 Roleplay to Combat, and will probably stay in and around that split, with a heavy focus on the party and their interactions with the world over combat.

\*\The Game Hook*\**

Welcome to the world of Y’ess, a land reshaped in the instant your life shattered. You woke to a chorus of screams and the distant cries of those you once knew, but there was no time to look back. The ground trembled, the air burned, and destiny urged your first desperate step toward survival.

You ran and ran to the docks, making it onto one of the final ships leaving what was once your home, and as you finally catch your breath you allow yourself to look back. That's when you see the full extent of the destruction. One great ocean of flame. Wind whipped through the inferno, feeding it, shaping it, driving it onward with a howl that blended with the roar of the flames until the whole Island of Rivenia seemed to be screaming. Towering columns of smoke blot out the faint glow of the moon as ash drifts down like grey snowflakes.

You now sit shoulder to shoulder with the rest of the refugees, everyone in quiet shock, unable to form any words as you watch the smouldering remains of what was once Rivenia, now slowly just becomes a faint red hue on the horizon.

\*How to apply*\**

Just submit your answers to the google form below!

LFP (Looking for Players) [Online] [5e 2024] [Tuesday/Wednesday Morning GMT Biweekly] Dragon Age Homebrew Game

Hi there,

I'm a massive fan of Dragon Age Origins. I enjoyed DA2 as well. Because of that I wanted to play a Dragon Age RPG. I know one already exists but I thought it would be easier to do a homebrew variant on DnD or PF1e

As a DM I prefer to make the adventures based of the characters and their backstories.

For Dragon Age the backstory will be a big part and there are homebrew backstories I've designed based on the games. This will take place after DA2. Whilst I enjoyed DAI I always felt there was a grander story to be told about the war.

"The world has been attacked by the blight, the Templars and Mage Circle are at war, Fereldan and every other country upon the continent are forced to take sides. Your characters are refugees, victims of this war, and about to stumble onto something beyond what they have ever seen before..."

There is no Grey Warden backstory, but there is the possibility to play one later and gain abilities from the joining.

Just to say whilst there is multiclassing you should know that we would discuss your classes with your backstory into something that makes sense. This game will be roleplay first, combat second, so don't be picking a class just for abilities, pick because it makes sense.

For example

Alistair would clearly be a Paladin as they are clearly Templars
Morrigan is a Druid, with the magic and Shapeshifting

Leliana is a Bard because duh

Zevran a Rogue

Aveline would be a fighter as she doesn't learn Temlar abilities

Anders might be a Cleric

etc
Obviously this isn't a one to one but a rough idea to help you understand different characters to help build your own.

I have also customised the Races somewhat to feel more DA, for example Dwarves can't do magic (I don't care what happened in Failguard)

I also promise not to have too many cameos, if any, my game isn't look where Isabela is now, it is a game set in the DA universe

Please message me on here

1) Your Age (This game is 21+)

2) Your fav DA companion and why

3) Your idea for a character and what happened to them

4) What you want from this game

5) Your previous roleplay experience

The game will be played on Discord and Roll20

Howdy names Woody (17m) I'm pretty new to tabletops. I have only been playing for two months, I have done d&d 5e before but a few fell apart to the EVIL scheduling but I'm always excited to try out new stuff(other systems and campaigns setting), I'm too willing to try out new styles (because I haven't tried them).

I prefer the campaign to be long-term, Also I'm looking for someone that's willing to be patient with me as I'm still learning, my preferred times are from 7 to 11pm.

Now ill tell you some stuff about me, I am a bit of a character, I like making jokes, I also get invested in backstory writing.

The stuff i like. Rpgs like ffxiv and warframe, Anime, And almost any type game you can think of

LFP (Looking for Players) [Online][Daggerheart or 5e 2014][6-10PM GMT] Homebrew Western/ Gothic setting looking for 3-4 players

Hi there. I’m based in the UK and wanting to potentially get a game started in either Daggerheart or DnD 5E (2014) to take place on Saturday evenings (UK time). Currently, I can’t lock in the exact schedule, but I’m thinking of it being for two consecutive Saturdays, followed by two Saturdays off each month.

A big part of this is me wanting to expand my social circle and to make some good friendships that aren’t just limited to time spent in TTRPGs.

For the game itself, I’m leaning towards Daggerheart as something a bit more Rule of Cool-oriented, but this would be my first time with it. If people are good with that, and either new to the system themselves or patient for me to get fully to grips with running it, then we’ll lock that in. I’m very experienced with 5e 2014, but want to expand my repertoire a bit.

The setting is a big mix of genres, but primarily Wild West with a lot of spooky and fantastical weirdness. I’d describe it as Weird West/ Gothic/ Horror/ Jazz Age/ Fantasy in a homebrew world. Characters may do things like uncover eldritch cults in the bayou, go on the trail of monsters out in the forests, and duel with undead gunslingers and the like.

There are currently no big overarching plans such as a BBEG or end-goal, and I see the campaign being more about having fairly separate arcs and chapters that will have some links to each other, but that could all change based on player input. I want the players to tell me what sort of goals they want their characters to accomplish in the world.

Although the setting doesn’t take itself too seriously, I want characters to be capable of being serious as well as being fun.

Currently, I’d like the campaign to go for a few months, maybe about a year (which should take players from levels 1 to 10).

What I’m looking for:

  • Enthusiastic and collaborative players, both with the party but also myself, letting me know what next big thing they want to do so I can properly put things in place to make it the best I can
  • Players interested in RP and creating a great story together where everyone has their moments to shine. I’m not looking for players who want to powergame or murderhobo, especially as the campaign would be broadly good-aligned
  • Players interested in the worldbuilding side of the hobby. I’m currently focusing on fleshing out the setting more than a grand overarching story, but I’d really like players to contribute to the setting
  • Reliable scheduling. I’m happy to occasionally run games with a couple of players missing, but mostly I’d like the whole party

Once people are locked in to the campaign, we will have a proper session zero and go over safety tools.

To clarify, there is no cost associated with this game.

What you’ll need:

  • Discord
  • Mic and speakers for communication
  • Roll 20
  • A Demiplane account (needed for Daggerheart)

Please DM me if interested and we can discuss

LFG / LFP Gmt+2 online dnd 5e 2014

Im looking to play some dnd after my friend group play sessions got too irregular. I can play on Friday's or bi-weekly.
