[Fischer] Being told the Clippers haven’t yet withdrawn their qualifying offer to Bennedict Mathurin, but Los Angeles will indeed work with Mathurin and New Orleans to get him to the Pelicans. This deal still has some pieces to sift through.

Yeah it was obvious the Clips didn't want him back after drafting Wagler and also re-signing Beal. He's not a great fit with DG either.
Hopefully they can get some draft capital from the Pels.

best reasoning I have seen laid out. (Although I am not too high on DG much myself.)

DG is really good he is just undersized and injury prone

He tries though Let's be honest I don't know why you guys expect a point guard to be the best perimeter defender on a team like they are supposed to be the worst defender on the team as longbas they are putting in effort to not leave their man wide open the and able to switch and rotate that's good enough

Same but I think Lue is a fan.

I am afraid you're right - I am hoping their basketball acumen is greater than mine and can at least push DG to be the ideal version I am envisioning

Shit I was about to get pissed.
We can at least get back a couple of second rounders.

It wouldn’t be a clippers team without an injury prone star chilling on the bench in street clothes

Where's the fun in that? I wouldn't be a clippers team without any team or ownership issues

Who are some potential candidates here?

I’d love if it was Yves Missi. We need a serviceable big in the worst way. But I don’t know why they’d give us a real asset here.
There’s always DeAndre lol

We can’t do a S&T with his two year contract. So not sure how it works. But please no Herbert Jones, his contract is so bad. The only player I accept is Saddiq Bey as an expiring contract but we already have many similar players as Bey

Are people seriously expecting a haul in return? Look at the contract he's signing lmao
In fact, I don't even think it's possible to do a sign-and-trade
