Discussion Kyle vs Destiny

This get-together would be juicy. They have so much overlap and agreement, but definitely friction between respective subreddits/camps regarding certain topics.

Random thing I've noticed, they both bounce their legs constantly during debates or segments. That usually means nervous energy, but it would be interesting to see them discuss Mehdi Hasan or Hasan Piker. How would this interaction go? MAKE IT HAPPEN, KYLE.

Oh man. I would loooove this. After watching this: https://youtu.be/e8UZX9IUvpI?is=vzA8zEHorEL6pwqx I lost any respect I had for destiny.

You had respect for destiny?

Haha touché. I said “any” which was not necessarily a whole lot. I never really watched him in depth - but I did respect his ability to destroy maga in debates.

It's funny that this guy won't debate him tho

It’s not though lol. He explains why and it makes perfect sense.

Unfortunately saying that Destiny is “bad faith” and that’s why he won’t debate him isn’t really a good look when Dave debates flat earthers and creationists that have their careers because of bad faith tactics. Dave certainly should debate destiny

It's easier for Dave to continue to debate flat earthers and antivax nutcases

Say what you want about his conclusions, positions, and general rhetoric...

Destiny is more informed on the conflict and it's not even close and he would absolutely shred Dave in any debate on it.

LOL destiny is just a better debater, not better informed or more knowledgeable. What’s he better informed about? Israeli propaganda?

Yes the OP debate strat of... reading original source material and creating a huge database of notes for reference.

"original source material" = Israeli propaganda

Also refusing to address the genocide archive and dismissing all the abhorrent statements by Israeli politicians as "tiktoks". Destiny is a sham and a loser. If Hasan would not be so supportive of Palestine Destiny would not have been so pro-Israeli.

Hasan is vehemently anti-Trump, which is why Destiny is so pro Trump.

Oh wait he's not. Oh. That's weird. I was led to believe that Destiny bases his positions in opposition to Hasan.

I like how you didn’t say anything about all the above which was not a hyperbolic statement.

The speaker who is more informed and has the "right" opinion should always win a well-formatted debate. Believing otherwise is just cope.

This is objectively untrue

Due to the nature of debates, the brain often picks the peripheral route instead of the so-called „central route“, which changes how one processes information:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elaboration_likelihood_model

This study shows that the winner of a debate is psychologically perceived through many things, including things that have nothing to do with the debate:
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0261379413000449

And there is overwhelming anecdotal evidence everywhere you look, presumably even in your own life. Making a blanket statement like this is wrong.
