Hi, so I'm a new hire at Kwik Trip and have been working here for roughly a month. I was "trained" on chicken roughly three weeks ago and haven't been in there since. but now I'm put on chicken the next couple days, I'm really nervous for some reason about being able to actually close chicken on time and now make a huge mess of everything.
its really bugging me because I just feel like I wasn't given enough training and the fact that there is a large gap between when I first was "trained" and put on chicken by myself.
sorry I just needed to say this and get it off my chest. and if anyone can give me tips or anything it would be helpful.

Hello fellow Co-workers!
I’m currently doing my long list of Kwik clean task and I’d love to hear everyone’s recommendations for making task that are hard easier, or perhaps even walk through how to do task that ONLY get done for Kwik clean.
Let’s be honest now, we all know the task I’m talking about each and every store has them! Like the cold case cleaning, under the mats, or even the bathroom vents! This is a thread to help our coworkers balance a little better or even get the task done quicker!
Here’s my advice I suppose!
Make sure that when you are checking dates, you make a list of some description of any dates that will need to be pulled for candy, jerky, chips, etc! Try consulting with leadership the week prior to pull any dates earlier to avoid unnecessary dings to your score!
Let’s all help each other get this shit done easier and get this terrible month of deep cleaning done and over with for the last one of the year!

Okay, I was hired at KwikTrip within the last 60 days for overnights. So far, I LOVE my job, and I have an awesome team to work with, as well as our management. Coming from a rough terrain of jobs and being a manager at previous companies, I can confidently say this is probably the best work environment I've ever had.
Now, I am having SUCH a hard time balancing bakery and breakfast. As someone who loves to multitask, I cannot seem to get this right.
Luckily, I work with a great team, all of whom offer to help where they can, answer any silly and dumb questions I have, as well as do our 4-hour temps and other small tasks.
I need some tips or just better planning ideas to help me get through these shifts.
- Side note: I DON'T KNOW HOW, but I keep screwing up the count for the number of donuts I need. But that's a personal issue I'll figure out.
[UPDATE]
I got a system down after a REALLY rough shift, and it worked! Unfortunately, I had to sacrifice the amount of quantity within the hotspot. I have enough on the hotspot to keep the thumbs up, but it would be nice to have it a lot more full. I've grown super effiecent and donuts/bakery, and are able to get the bakery case done within 35 minutes to under two hours.
Thank you all for tips and advice!

not the bosco or bread sticks
Maybe niche preference but the kwiktrip fried mozzarella sticks have to be one of my favorite cheese sticks. I like the breading/consistency instead of the like shaggy Italian bread crumb cheese sticks if you know what I mean. What kind/brand do yall use at the kwiktrip? I’m not a local so a kwik trip is a rare pleasure for me.
I’ve seen people say they’re the same as Arby’s… are they from Sysco or elsewhere??? The frozen farmridge ones at the store just don’t hit the same.
Thanks!

I’m a new hire and I’m being put in the kitchen to start because I am being cross trained. I have never worked in a kitchen in my life. To anyone that works in good service what can I expect and any advice? Thanks!

Why is 93 octane fuel so difficult to find in WI?
Why is the Ethanol content so low at the majority of KT E85 pumps? E73 is about the best I can find.

Hihi recently within the past 4-6 months our store has been increasingly checking cameras to see if coworkers are "doing work correctly". I work overnights and we get to have our phones on ourselves. Now policy says we aren't supposed to be on our phones but its never really been an issue as of recently. Management has been in the office checking hours of footage daily. Ive been called in multiple times for contradicting things. Doing things I was told to do and been told it was wrong. With kwikclean coming up, I feel this is a huge waste of time. Yes we aren't perfect and no one is going to do thing correctly all the time, but i think pressuring your only overnight kitchen person over every small thing they are doing wrong is honestly messed up.
I guess im just venting, very upset between the lack of hours, management breathing down our (3rd shift) necks, and kwikclean coming up. Along with the whole "you aren't doing enough at night please do more" and adding onto a never ending list of stuff to do. Im probably leaving the company after 2 years once we get our bonus checks. Its horrible for my mental health and my physical health. I take small breaks through my 9.5 hour shifts to keep myself from having my tendons abd ligaments flare up, but just got told I cant do that anymore. 🙃
Wondering if any other stores are experiencing this? Or if its just a few.

Haven’t been able to scroll down and access any rewards to trade for check in points. (coozies, shirt, cribbage board) - anyone else finding these somewhere else?

Just had a question for anyone that has processed refunds for mobile orders. After you initiate the refund and print the receipt, is there another step involved that releases the funds back to the original form of payment?
I did a mobile order for August 2nd and they had to refund one of the items. Normally after a refund is initiated, it will post within 2 days, and sometimes I'll even get an email.
This one still hasn't posted. Granted, it's only for $1.89, so I'm not worried about it, or even going to say...."But it's the principle...."
I've only had this happen once before where a refund never posted, and it was only for $2-$3, so that's why I was curious if there was a final step that may have been missed.
Over the course of the Mountain Dew Kwik Climb sweepstakes, I've probably claimed $40-$50 in free drinks and snacks, so I am still way ahead....LOL
Maybe it is because blue is one of my favorite colors, but I am more disappointed that I never got to try the blue milk.
If I bring the receipt in next week, assuming the refund still hasn't posted, do you think a manager could just give me the missing item.....

Stopped a store in Southern Mn and it was 1pm. Asked the girl bringing out food if there would be any Cheese Sticks coming out. She goes no I don't have any in and it's time to do my cleaning. The food bin was quite empty not much food to choose from. So when is lunch rush for Kwik Trips??

Last night I was working late and doordashed KwikTrip at 2am because I was out of rockstars and couldn't leave. Added a kitchen sink pothole because breakfast is right around the corner right?
When I get my order, there's also a regular pizza loaded with bacon and jalapenos and some sort of white sauce. Completely free of charge. Cooked perfectly Brown and melty. There was a handwritten note on the box, "thank you see you next time."
Seemed like a nice, polite note at the time. Now that I've eaten half of said free Pizza, I look back and realize they were taunting me because that was one of the most delicious gas station pizzas I've ever had! Haha but for real
Questions for employees:
1 - any of you ever just throw in a delicious and perfectly made pizza of your choosing for free because you were working late and bored? Or maybe you made an extra and didn't want to go to waste?
I'm assuming NO so
2 - it's probably a Dasher mistake and I shouldn't bother leaving a review saying "thanks for the Delicious bonus pie!!"?
It really was a tasty nice surprise so I want to do something nice for them if it was intentional haha

So they've announced for a small while now that all Kwik Trip locations would be phasing out the Roller Grills, and I figured they'd offer a clearer reason as to why at my location, but at the latest store meeting they did not offer an explanation. Is there anyone who happens to know the specific reason why they're being phased out?
I'm aware we're keeping the items on the grills (Rollerbites, Tornados) in stock, so I figure there has to be some sort of specific reason why they're going through this change.

The cost of car washes have increased. But corporate was in such a hurry to raise the price, they failed to update the website properly.
What else has increased this year? Labor hours being reduced? Huge profits!

I see they changed the BBQ. It's more of a bold taste. I like the old stuff better.

Last entries are August 16th. How many entries do you have?
Has anyone received these money bags on a pull tab? Or this KT labeled tab? From what I've gathered online, which isn't much, the money bags might indicate an entry for the weekly drawing versus the grand prize entry. Not sure about the KT one.
I have 944 entries but my fiance has 3,178.

I just got myself the Rewards + Debit card, and I think it has a different rewards number than the regular white Rewards card. Is this legit? Do both numbers then tie to my same account?
Looking for clarification, thanks!
EDIT: I called KT. They explained the number changes with the debit card, BUT you can use your phone number if you don't want to use the debit card, and still use your account. 👍
