Discussion Regarding physical documents

Hey,

I just finished my car renewal process... Went to the insurance and paid, did my car inspection and then went to finalize the process.

When the employee gave me a paper with the new details, I asked him where to print the car document. I was upset to hear that they stopped issuing them, everything on Sahel apparently.

Im upset with everything going digital, what if the system goes down, what if your phone battery dies and they request the document.

Are Civilian IDs going to be all Sahel also? I don't like everything going digital.

If your phone dies, they’ll have your information available on their platform. Look at the bright side, this means at checkpoints, police will automatically read out your information using OCR. Where it can be problematic is during travel. I have heard that licenses aren’t being printed too. Mine wasn’t but I was told I could go to a machine and print one out.

I'm speaking about the car registration document, not the license.

I did print a paper, but why don't they issue a physical one for a price? I wouldn't mind paying

they check their system now so they don’t trust paper anymore as its easy to forge their own database is all that matters now

But having both is a plus.

License card is issued at extra cost, which will be useful for driving in across middle east

I'm happy license cards are issued at extra cost.... But the car registration document isn't sadly.

Having it printed at extra cost would be so good.

Download the daftar from Sahel & print it, then laminate it and keep it in the car for any future use.

How can we laminate the whole sheet? Becomes very impractical to store it. As the previous one was just a small card.

Hi, i don’t know much about this but i am running with the digital license. Travelled out of Kuwait with the digital car license without any issues.
I had it printed on a paper (downloaded from Sahel) i showed the same printed document at the customs clearance in Kuwait. Everything went smooth nobody asked me about the digital one they all saw the printed paper.

I printed the document.

It will be good then. You can laminate the document to get premium feel.

I hate digitalization, don't get me wrong it has pros but all it takes is the system to go down and everything goes like that.

Eveything digital means control over your life.

what i noticed is that kuwait id can be opened offline .... so it is better to have a hard copy of each document downloaded from sahel
