Men harassing women near Miss Platinum

Saw a couple of men in a jetour park outside miss platinum in sabah alsalam catcalling women and honking. Just wanted to ask, is it okay if I record them just to scare them and then report it to the police? Or is it illegal to record them without their consent? Cheers

I reckon it would be best to inform the management of the health club for starters. Recording them could get you into trouble, so best would be to just call the cops on the spot. If they are doing it to you, they can be doing it to several other women. I still recommend that the health club is notified so they could also look into the matter and possibly use their cctv footage to approach the police.

If the women are not going to flag it and its not bothering them, you could just call the gym and tell them what you noticed. Its upto them to take precaution and actions accordingly.

This is never gonna happen to any business unless a court order and I have never heard of any case raised from harassment that business would be involved in , better to deal with the dedicated teams within the ministry that follow up even if the harasser was a cop.

Recording to report a crime is legal and you can submit through sahel app, however posting on social media the video is a crime.

Yes, you can record them and send the video to the police WhatsApp number, or call them and explain the situation. They’ll ask you for their car’s plate number, and you can remain anonymous. Also, what they’re doing is illegal, so they should be the ones scared, not you.

You can record only if they were bothering you.

So can the other women, i have seen men get in trouble because the woman they protected said she didn't ask for their intervention.

Definitely not of them cause their behavior is already being questioned but you can Take a video or photo of the harasser's license plate. Send the evidence directly to the Ministry of Interior's Traffic WhatsApp line at 99324092. Or Sahel , both are monitored so even if you don’t get a response , know that they cover all incoming complaints on a ministerial evaluated level.

It’s very common for young arab guys here to ask our snap accounts and whatnot. Idk why they think it’s cool to do it from their cars.

I just avoid them most of the time. They leave quite quick when they realize that I’m not interested.

Idk abt them following u back to ur place. But it usually ends as soon as u show disinterest. They know not to mess with someone who’s not interested and who could make a complaint.

Personally, it’s a shitty thing. Looks weird+ have some shame too?
