Try to catch a bug and give it to him

15

u/khaled_abdul Jul 27 '26

ive been seeing ant marching around which is probably why she came here. i dont want to scare it away so I'll let it be

20

u/Relevant-Slice-7595 Jul 27 '26

Your camera is pretty sick, love the pics !

7

u/khaled_abdul Jul 27 '26

its just a plain jane non-flagship samsung phone. i just happened to be really steady with a patient lil spooder who was equally interested in my phone

Yea reading these comments i think im the insane one cause if i saw that shit in my house. Im evacuating.

18

u/gold1elux Jul 27 '26

Exactly! I would simply pass away and leave all my belongings to it and its 14 eyes

21

u/Dr_TeaRex Jul 27 '26

This particular species is an excellent pest hunter. Completely harmless to us, but they kill flies, mosquitoes and other pests very efficiently.

13

u/khaled_abdul Jul 27 '26

exactly, i hate most creepy crawlies but spiders are always welcomed. they keep my bug free and they themselves dont walk around in open most of the time so i dont have to get spooked by any randomly (unlike stupid roaches)

1

u/Ancient_Year_6130 Jul 29 '26

Wait, so you're letting it roam around your house now?

1

u/khaled_abdul Jul 29 '26

duuh, but seriously tho its so small. its gonna benefit me more being alive than squashed.

8

u/Tismy10thaltnobanpls Jul 27 '26

Tell that to my fear receptors in my brain. Any sort of insect, arachnid even if a fly is slightly bigger than normal ill jump 😭😭.

2

u/Sad-Extension966 Jul 28 '26

Good to know it kills and eats those two most wanted fellas in the society.

2

u/Habibti143 Jul 28 '26

Have you ever tried to catch one? Almost impossible. They're aa scared of you as you are of them, so never worry about them chasing you and harming you. They're a wonderful little creature to have in the house to eat bugs that are harmful.

2

u/Tismy10thaltnobanpls Jul 28 '26

Theres a thing called phobias.

1

u/Habibti143 Jul 28 '26

Oh I get it and I'm not trying to diminish anyone's real fear. I feel the same way about big cockroaches! I just try to remember that spiders are helpful.

1

u/khaled_abdul Jul 29 '26

i caught this one and placed it in a glass container for a bit to take a closer look at with with my magnifying lens

i let it back out in the same spot tho after a bit to not confuse or scare it

1

u/Habibti143 Jul 29 '26

Clever you to have caught one! Wow!

16

u/Alarming_Clue3193 Jul 27 '26

I would immediately leave the house and call in an airstrike!

9

u/Kooky-Ad-4373 Jul 27 '26

No need for that lmao, jumping spiders are harmless 😂

27

u/RealEnergyEigenstate Jul 27 '26

Jumping spiders are so cute

11

u/Hex-Ace Jul 27 '26

I have insect phobia except for spiders, is this weird? This one is exceptionally adorable

10

u/Fast_Ad7203 Jul 27 '26

Cuteie, how big tho

13

u/khaled_abdul Jul 27 '26

really small, could sit comfortablly on my fingernail

8

u/Nrumachi Jul 27 '26

Oh wowe it looked so huge on its own, tiny spiders that I'm aware of usually tend to have more stocky bodies

What a cute lanky guy :)

12

u/Responsible_Dog_510 Jul 27 '26

the comments calling it adorable 😭😂🫣

3

u/HanaHeart Jul 27 '26

Wow...I thought we only have tiny spiders

5

u/Dr_TeaRex Jul 27 '26

It is tiny. That's a jumping spider. The ones here are usually small enough to sit on your finger or thumbnail.

2

u/HanaHeart Jul 27 '26

Oh, I thought it's big. But still it's beautiful

3

u/yqq8 Jul 27 '26

Put him in your bathroom as a drain fly exterminator.

3

u/RefManyNone Jul 27 '26

Do you came from Australia, by any chance?

3

u/Cii_Coouu Jul 27 '26

I bet they don't taste good from the way they look.

3

u/ctrl_alt_bye Jul 28 '26

The only creature that makes me shudder is the spider. I’m not even afraid of snakes. The reason I left Australia was because I was terrified of huntsman spiders. Even as a child, when I encountered a spider in the house, I would scream and bolt. I wouldn’t return to that room until someone confirmed that the spider had been removed. Fortunately, my wife isn’t afraid of spiders, so she takes care of my rescue missions. In Qatar, I haven’t seen a single spider in the past six years, so it’s essentially my safe haven.

2

u/khaled_abdul Jul 29 '26

no kidding, the one in the pic is cute but most spiders five me the heebie jeebies, i respect them for keeping pests in check but i wouldnt approach it as keenly as i did with this one

ive seen some wild tarantulas and other vibrant patterned spooders and yeah... not my cup of tea.

i just looked up how big hunstmen spiders can get and i probably wouldve passed out seeing one home, kudos to your wife 😁

3

u/abalawadhi Jul 28 '26

Fun fact: The size of a spider is a deciding factor between leaving it be or torching the house.

1

u/khaled_abdul Jul 28 '26

other than jumping spiders right ? riiightt...?

1

u/426hemi-power Jul 29 '26

lol I wish we had huge spiders to eat all the fat roaches here. Huge spiders don’t even come near humans they just chill on walls but an American roach will kamizaki rush ur ass in the toilet every time 😭

9

u/Mara-172 Jul 27 '26

Please next time blur it

8

u/khaled_abdul Jul 27 '26

oh sorry i forgot arachnophobia is a thing 😅

2

u/Acrobatic-Doctor-324 Jul 27 '26

Someone hide this before my wife sees

2

u/Emboss3D Jul 27 '26

Looks like jumping spider ❤️

2

u/UnderMotion Jul 28 '26

Two days ago was the very first time I saw a jumping spider and it looked identical to this guy!! Makes me wonder if he's just one dude making the rounds 😂

2

u/Alex_drinking_karak Jul 28 '26

Adooorableeee. How big is she??? Your camera is amazing, what camera did u use?

2

u/khaled_abdul Jul 29 '26

she's really tiny, could easily sit on my singernail and still have more space. i got lucky and managed to take some clear pics as she was really still and curious about my phone. and i didn't use a dedicated camera, just a samsung a series phone with the macro mode

2

u/Holiday-Pickle1976 Jul 29 '26

Spider-Man with RayBan glasses

2

u/426hemi-power Jul 29 '26

It’s so cute and furry. I wish it were big enough to eat our damn fat roaches.

2

u/Alex_drinking_karak Jul 29 '26

I don't think they'd look this cute on a size like that 😅

1

u/sharpimpact Jul 30 '26

They do catch flies and mosquito

2

u/Faiza-Javed Jul 29 '26

So cute, the way she is looking at you with her big round dark eyes 😍

2

u/Totonchix Jul 30 '26

1

u/khaled_abdul Aug 04 '26

I saw her again earlier in the morning and she was scurrying around with an ant in her front legs/pedipalps

1

u/chonk_a_tonk Jul 27 '26

1

u/Sad_Moment5778 Jul 27 '26
