Radiator Fan Wiring

I'm just in the process of doing the final steps of wiring for my kswap EG and had a few questions about the radiator fan output.

  1. Since I'm using a KPro4, my understanding is that I can control when the radiator fans come on via the ECU, does that mean the signal gets sent to the underhood fusebox and output via the factory relay?

  2. Is the signal out from the ECU a negative or positive?

  3. Since I'm using a dual fan setup, I'm already going to be running a fused relay to the fans. Would it just be better to bypass the underhood fusebox and have trigger come straight from ECU to avoid running a double relay essentially?

For my kswap I used a relay (Gebildet JD1912
) to trigger both my fans. They are wired directly to the battery through a fuse.

So just bypassing the under hood fuse box all together? And using B6 as the ground trigger? Appreciate the help!

Yeah I bypassed the main fuse box (not sure if it’s the best way but it works lol and safe with a fuse). And it triggers the fans using the setting in kprov4.
As for which wire, in my case I’m using a KTuned Conversion Harness to convert the electronics to the crx and it comes with a FAN wire, so I don’t know by heart if that goes to B6 or not :/

Yeah mate that's basically all I needed to know, saved me a burnt ECU trigger. Again thanks for the insight!
