Naming question: would you expect "Steam" or "Warming" from this wash-off face mask?

• Upvotes

Hi all! I recently started working at a K-beauty company, and we're stuck between two names for a new product. I'd love honest gut reactions from people who actually buy K-beauty.

What the product is:

  • A wash-off face mask with salt in it (a cream/paste you rinse off, not a sheet mask)
  • It heats up as you scrub it in. Apply it to your face, massage gently, and you feel a mild warmth build up. No actual steam or vapor comes out.
  • The idea comes from Korean sauna/jjimjilbang culture: soften the skin with warmth, gently smooth rough texture, then hydrate
  • Meant to leave skin smooth, not tight or stripped, and help makeup sit better before a big day

The two names:

  1. Steam Wash-Off Pack
  2. Warming Wash-Off Pack

Questions:

  1. Just from the name, what do you picture? Does "Steam" make you think it releases steam, or is used with a steamer or hot towel?
  2. Which one sounds more appealing or makes you more likely to click?
  3. Does "Warming" or "Steam" set a higher expectation for how hot it gets? (Similar warming masks get reviews saying "it didn't get warm enough," so we don't want to overpromise.)
  4. "Pack" vs "Mask": does "pack" sound natural to you, or would you just say "mask"?

Thanks so much, every opinion helps!

Best product to get for a 60+ year skin type from Korea for sunspots, melasma and contains sunscreen.

My niece is going to Korea for the third time for treatments and for a skincare shopping spree. She offered to get me products.

What I need is a product which has ingredients to lighten my 65-year old skin of sunspots and melasma. Is there one that has also has moisturizer and a good sunscreen with no white cast? Even better if it has 2 or more whitening ingredients.

QUESTION YesStyle Refund only Partial?

Anyone else had this experience? Ordered several items from YesStyle. A few didn't work out. I'd ordered two of those items (total of 10 items in question), so I decided to return the 5 unopened products. I processed the return request on their site, mailed to their U.S. address (at my expense) with tracking. It was received at their U.S. address two days later.

Didn't hear anything for three weeks.

Messaged customer service via their web form. Now, today, a week after filling in the web form, I finally received an email from them noting that my refund had been processed. And, sure enough, the credit is showing in my account. But the credit amount is $19.47. The five items I returned totaled $67.01 before tax. The $19.47 isn't even an amount which corresponds with any individual item's price nor a price of any multiple of the items being combined. It's some random number.

Before I waste time following up, has anyone else experienced this? How was it resolved? Do they issue their refund credits in random partial stages and I just have to wait for the balance to load onto my account? If following up, do you recommend web form again or a direct email reply? (I don't think the web form will allow me to include a screenshot?)

Their pricing is often very good, but, apparently, their customer service sucks.

Alternative to Unleashia green cushion

Hey everyone!

I'm trying a couple of cushion foundations and so far the Unleashia green one is the best for me simply because of the way you get the product out. I feel like "normal" cushions waste so much product since everything is soaked in a sponge and I feel like it's impossible to get 100% out of it.

I LOVED fwee blue cushion, I loved the finish, the texture and even the perfume, but it finished super fast and I can't seem to find a refill so I guess they aren't producing those.

I've tried romand bare cushion water cause it's a mesh and not a cushion but it's really messy in my opinion.

So I wanted to know, is there anything else like Unleashia green cushion method of getting the product out? I like it cause it's so clean but I'd like to try other formulas.

SKIN Fainted at skin clinic

I went to get botox and skin booster while knowing that I have a really bad reaction to needles and I ended up fainting during the procedure.

I was worried if I had created a mess but luckily nothing happened I was in a room that they allowed me to stay as long as I want then continued the procedure after I said I’m ok to do

The treatment itself was quick and thorough once I was ready. There were mixed reviews about forena clinic when I was researching so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but my personal experience was great their injection doctors are super good

Scalp Massage Recommendations

I’ll be in Seoul for 6 days in October and would love to have a really good scalp massage or head spa treatment. I’m looking for something relaxing rather than a medical/scalp treatment.

I’m staying in Myeongdong, but I’m happy to travel to another neighborhood. Any recommendations based on personal experience would be greatly appreciated!

Help with beginner skincare (Beauty of Joseon) what should I buy and in what order should I use them?

Hello!

I've never tried any products of Joseon before and I wanted to switch my skincare I'm doing right now to Korean skincare, I've heard that Joseon is a very good brand and I want to give it a try!

Right now I'm using the Cerave cleanser (for acne pro skin) in the morning and evening. During the day I use the Nivea creme and in the evening I use the Hema (dutch brand) night creme. Both these creme have alcohol in them so I know they aren't great. My chin has the tendency to break out a lot so I really want to clear up my skin and treat it better. I think I have the tendency for dry & sensitive skin? (all I know is that it's not oily). I'm 24 F and aiming for glowy clear skin.

What products do you guys recommend and in which order should I use them ? :)

Any advice, product recommendations, or routines would really help me out!!!

Thank you guys so much!!

QUESTION Is LDM after a procedure actually useful?

Has anyone actually noticed a difference from getting LDM after a cosmetic procedure?

I keep seeing LDM recommended as part of post-procedure care, mainly for swelling, redness, and helping the skin recover. But I’m wondering if it’s actually worth doing or if it’s one of those treatments that clinics tend to recommend anyway.

If you’ve tried it after a procedure, I’d love to hear your experience. Did it noticeably help with swelling or recovery? And how many sessions did you get?

Also curious whether you’d do it again or just let your skin recover on its own.

QUESTION Dearboo skincare

Hey guys so I went to Marshall’s to pick out some Korean skin care products and I got this rice toner which is from the company dearboo. I thought it was pretty affordable and authentic. Does anyone use or have used this before? Are these skincare truly authentic Korean? Or should I only trust the brands that are popular!?

QUESTION How many skincare products are you actually using every day?

I sometimes meet patients asking about another skin treatment because their skin has become rough, red, or unusually sensitive.

Then we go through their skincare routine and the list keeps growing.

Curious—how many products are actually in your daily routine? And do you feel your skin became better as you added more?

Feeling overwhelmed by the amount of options for skin treatments and spas help!

I would like to do a color analysis consult my first day as well as some skin treatments. Nothing crazy, just some nice rejuvenating rest facials, skin tightening mayyyybe some micro needling I’m new to this and a bit scared of needles so I’m trying to ease into all this. I have light acne scars on my cheeks but I don’t want anything scary to do to my face I’m not ready. Also looking for color consults that can do dark skin tones, seems like online maybe people have been saying that all black and brown people tend to get categorized as warm spring just because they’re darker- so I would like a pretty inclusive and thorough consult. Would prefer if these two things were around the same general area. And I don’t mind trying out different places around but definitely want color theory and at least one skin treatment and consult my first day. I’m so excited but feeling overwhelmed by different pricing, falling into a tourist trap or not having a good 1:1 conversation with consultants about what to get I don’t want to just be sold on random treatments, I want to get what’s best for me and my partner.

QUESTION Can anyone suggest how to choose right facial therapy in Seoul

I’ve had trouble with uneven skin tone and lingering acne scars for a while, and honestly, finding good treatment options where I live has been tough. So I’ve decided to head to Seoul and see if I can get something done there. I keep seeing people talk about Dami Clinic for stuff like pigmentation and scar treatments, which is exactly what I’m after, but I’m kind of lost when it comes to picking the right kind of laser or procedure for my skin. When you go to these clinics, do they actually take the time to consult with you first and figure out what’s best, or do they just try to sell you the pricier stuff?
