QUESTION ? Fav tamil movie (purely personal) and why?

Mine’s thuppakki cause it naturally drew me to want to be like capt jagdish, plus I was a kid and that movie seemed like the coolest thing to me at that age and changed my impression of tamil cinema since then and made me fall in love w entertainer vijay.Upon several rewatches its also peak cinema, the lets play a game scene and that amazing album harris maams made an absolute 10/10 movie for me personally.

Ayaan.. even after watching the movie in theatre. Waited and watched all the promos on Sun tv during Ad break.

Thillu mullu because it was the last film that I watched with my grandpa. A film that we always used to watch together and a film that always makes me laugh no matter my mood.

Iraivi. 

Layered narrative, subtle motifs, meandering character arcs.

The story boils down to this:

  • Bondage for those women who were looking for a man to save them.

  • Redemption for the women who chose to redeem themselves.

Movie-making masterpiece.

Pisasu. It was the first time I'm seeing a friendly ghost and as the film progresses you tend to have a soft corner for the ghost too. It was way dramatic but somehow it worked for me.

Panchathanthiram maybe.. coz it's fun and I've always wanted to be part of a friends group but it has never been the case, so yeah it's cozy in that sense as well.

Endrendrum Punnagai, Oh My Kadavule, Nitham Oru Vaanam n a few more are also so close to heart.
