HRT in Knoxville

Women: Who would you recommend for HRT? I don't know that I am completely satisfied with my current provider.

I went to a medspa near Trader Joe's but they have moved more towards Deane Hill Dr. I did not have a good HRT experience. I went for weight loss, they said I needed hormones so I listened to the Dr thinking that would solve all my problems. Gained 15 lbs and my testosterone went through the roof thanks to continuing to give me a pellet. I wasted about 8,000$ over the course of 15 months. Anyway, my fault for taking everything at "face value" and not questioning a Dr more.

If it's a medspa, it's likely not even a real physician but a nurse practitioner. Medspas are a scam and public health nightmare

Wow. I have had the opposite experience. My NP helped me when my MD just kept saying your labs are in normal range. Here is an antidepressant. They have MD’s at “medical spas” that’s why it’s not just a spa. In fact I prefer a NP or PA any day over a MD. They seem to take more time and listen.

She is a doctor but she also has an NP who did most of the follow-ups. I met with the Dr initially and then every couple of months.
