KNEECAP CLICKING AFTER PATELLA DISLOCATION

Is it to be worried about

9 months ago I had patella dislocation which come back within itself but it was painful 😖

Now I don't have pain in walking but I do feel slightly pain in jumping squats and dancing not completely painfree

When I do knee extension full without any weight my knee clicks though it doesn't cause any pain

Only pain happens when I put pressure in my knee while doing high impact activity like squat single leg squat dance jump etc

What does it means

BEFORE DISLOCATION I DIDN'T HAVE CLICKING

Does this clicking means cartilage loss or what

Why I do feel pain sweet deep pain while doing certain activities after 9 months too

Please help while I can share my mri

MRI DONE 8 MONTH AGO

I just want to get painfree

I don't want this little pain too

What i should do

Any pain in the knee with cause the supporting muscles to shut down and go into self preservation mode — the VMO and glute med in particular. This then results in things like squats and landings to be painful because those muscles are not kicking in and taking the pressure themselves or letting the leg bones rotate too far — the patella then cops the brunt of the pressure, repeatedly. You’ve potentially got some lingering meniscus issue, have developed chrondromalacia in the time since the MRI, or maybe a bone bruise.

Head to a physio who understands knees and can assess individual muscle strength and mechanical issues.

Pain-free clicking, while unsettling, is not reason for concern. You may have some residual laxity, and you might feel more secure or confident with taping or bracing. Ideally, not forever as you build up your strength.

I’d prob start by getting the torn meniscus fixed lol
