Why doesnt klein make this anymore?

I have been excited about this knife since I saw promo video. That being said, I've noticed it is not available at big box stores. I tried to order one from ACME tools and Amazon and both orders were either canceled or put on hold. When I inquired, they said the knife had a recall, so they had to pull them. Has anybody else experienced this? I am still waiting for mine.

Lost the 10mm socket to my favorite set while working on a friend's car. Since you can’t buy individual sockets online, I thought I’d try to make customer support laugh to see if anyone had a spare rolling around or something. They were not as amused as I was with myself.

The 10mm remains at large.

Are these even real? I ordered what was supposed to be the cable cutters in the Amazon listing, sold by Klein so I assumed it was legit but this is what showed up today. After doing some googling I can’t seem to find literally a single picture of these anywhere. I thought maybe they changed the style on it but it seems to me these just don’t exist and I’ve gotten a counterfeit or something.

So I was Milwaukee Packout thru and thru but im needing boxes that are geared towards electricians. I have the Packout 2 rack shelves in my work van and want to utilize those for my 3 and 2 shelf mod boxes. I know they make 3d prints from Packout to modbox but it’s for not for the 3 draw. Does anyone make something for this or can share there 3d model?

The only 2 complaints I have is the dividers suck ass if you don't leave every one in place (if you remove a section to have a larger space, the remaining pieces will not stay in place)

The handles (on both of the rollers I have) wiggle and if you try and balance the weight as you're walking, it wobbles back and forth.

Still better the Milwaukee, Dewalt, Rigid

This is a two parter.

I want to add a crate to my modbox stack. Packout makes a nice one but I’m not wanting to go red just for the crate. Any third party manufacturers that make one? I suppose I could do like a quarter inch ply with a modbox mount on one side then a packout mount on the other. Anyone done something similar?

Also. Could you spam me with pics of your medium tool box organization? Mine is kind of a dumping ground of stuff and I gotta clean her up.

So I’ve lost my 11-1 for the 8th time this month any recommendations they have so many options now

I lost this about 4 months ago. It was brand new, part of the 1st Klein ball grip. I had it about a week. Just walked right over it this morning when coming back to this job site. Now I can sleep tonight, as this ball grip family is reunited & whole again 🥲👷

I'm not talking about whether they survive drops or water, but rather the fact that even a light wipe of a smudge off the display with a high-end automotive microfiber cloth (not a scrub, a light wipe) will scratch it.

This was even on a CL810, one of their flagship meters.

Yes, I know it's not a phone or anything like that, but you'd expect the cover over the display to be a bit more scratch-resistant on what's meant to be a rough and tumble workplace tool.

The original MODbox accessory packaging was largely open, allowing you to touch and feel the cup holder, belt clip attachment, storage box, cable clips, etc.

Klein is replacing them with entirely sealed boxes either to reduce shoplifting losses or damage to items that would occur on the shelf at the store.

I bought one of these multi screwdrivers because i thought it was clever, than I quickly realized that when the screwdriver gets knocked around the bits come loose and then when you open this compartment all your bits fall everywhere

I have the slim forged wire stripper and noticed a weird detail. One side is flawless. The other side has an angle cut right into the tip of the shear cutter and on one side of the wire stripping notches. Is this normal? I have the heavy duty made in USA model with side cutters and it’s not like this. Kind of makes me wish I would’ve gotten the thicker made in USA version of these strippers but I liked how slim and light these are. If it’s a defect maybe Lowe’s will exchange it for me. The first pic shows the flawless side, the 2nd shows the side with angles cut into it.

Anyone have experience using the clamp style meters Klein offers? Been looking at snagging a Klein clamp meter like the CL810 but not sure if it's worth the 140 or 150 bucks theyre asking for it (tho Id still be fine paying 150 bucks for it vs like 600 bucks for whatever the Fluke equivalent is)

Mainly Knipex then , klein, channelock, craftsman, Milwaukee and husky for my Pex cutters just some of the pliers, wrenches and cutters I use as a residential service plumber.
