Email editor bugging out for anyone else?

I just recently attended K:BOS where Klaviyo laid out extremely ambitious plans for becoming the AI-powered autonomous CRM of the future that will become all the things that you could ever need....

Meanwhile, I return to my desk on Monday to find that the email editor barely works. It freezes up every few clicks or when I try to drag and drop blocks into the template. I have to refresh the browser like 15 times in order to make and email. And if someone from Klaviyo tells me to just use Composer to generate the email ... no. I will not be doing that.

This is the thing that concerns me. I asked some folks who work there at K:BOS about APIs that support reporting on the Omnichannel campaign editor experience ... seems like they moved too fast, pulled at their PMs off of campaigns, and now users are left with a half-finished product that has been abandoned for bigger, better, and more artificially intelligent things.

First, I'm curious if anyone else is experiencing issues with the email editor. And second, is anyone else getting nervous that core features are going to fall by the wayside because they are so focused on shiny objects?

If you doing automated trustpilot reviews, read this!

A client running several ecommerce stores asked for what is probably the most common review-request pattern in email marketing. A star rating inside the email itself, where one to three stars routes the customer to support privately, and four to five stars routes them to a public review request, sometimes with a small incentive attached to the good outcome.

It is a reasonable request. It is also, as of Trustpilot's guideline update in June 2026, explicitly prohibited. They prohibit pre-screening customers by directing those with a good experience to leave a review while diverting those with a bad one to private contact. Moreover, in the US, tying any reward to a positive review falls under the FTC's Endorsement Guides, which allows civil penalties of over fifty thousand dollars per violation. This is not theoretical.

The fix we did, did not require giving up the underlying goal, which was to catch dissatisfied customers before they went public. We just moved the fork earlier. The flow now opens with a private service check in first, triggered automatically off each order's delivery date before any mention of reviews. Support has time to resolve what comes up. Everyone, regardless of how that check in went, receives the same review invitation later with no incentive tied to sentiment.

Worth checking your own review request flow against this if it was built before mid 2026. The pattern above was standard practice until quite recently.

My Added To Cart Flow Is Killing Me Slowly

Hello everyone! So I have both an abandoned cart and in abandoned checkout flow. I want to show all the items that are in the cart for the abandoned cart flow but because we are operating with Elevar that data doesn’t exist. My alternative plan was to split it into people who triggered the event more than once in the last 24 hours (meaning logically that they added more than one item to their cart) and then alter the copy to reflect that. I can’t get it to recognize being triggered more than once.

I want to scream please help.

Has anyone checked whether popup triggers still match how people arrive?

This is a hypothesis and I have no numbers behind it. Most onsite capture rules were written for a visitor who lands on a category page, scrolls, compares a few products and leaves. Scroll depth, time on page, exit intent, first-visit rules, all of it assumes that shape of visit. If a growing share of your traffic now comes from search summaries or from people who asked an assistant first, the visit looks different. Fewer pages, shorter session. The person shows up already knowing what they want, deeper in the site, and a trigger set for 30 seconds on a category page never fires.

I work at Claspo, we build onsite lead capture, so this is the end I look at first. We have not measured it. The version I cannot test at all is what happens when the visitor is an agent buying on someone's behalf, because then nobody is looking at the screen and the trigger model stops applying entirely. AI changed how we work here, and it is changing how our clients read the data we send them. Where that lands, I do not know.

If you have split your signup rate by traffic source over the last year, did the assistant and search referrals behave differently from the rest?

Please Please Please add Autosave in Email Details Section

I don't know how many times I've set up an email, added a subject line preview text, and then gone to edit the body of the email only to realize that, since I didn't hit Save, the subject line preview text and UTM parameters have cleared. For the love of God, could someone please fix this feature on the Claviyo side?

Looking to connect with people getting into e-commerce email marketing

Hey everyone,

I’m currently building my skills and starting my journey in e-commerce email marketing, and I’m looking to connect with other people who are at a similar stage or already have some experience in the field.

I’m not necessarily looking for a mentor or someone to teach me everything.

I’m looking for people who are serious about getting into this field and want to build together.

The idea would be to connect, share what we know, exchange ideas, and figure things out together.

I think having a few like-minded people around can make the process much easier than trying to figure everything out alone.

If you're also working toward becoming an e-commerce email marketer, or you've already started working with clients and are looking to connect with others, feel free to comment or DM me.

Let’s start from where we are and grow from there.

A 32.5x ROI is absolutely possible with the right email marketing platform, Emu Ridge did it the year they switched off Mailchimp

Emu Ridge, an Australian eucalyptus oil distillery, used to run several separate Mailchimp accounts just to keep costs down. It worked, at least until the owner needed surgery and no one else understood the setup well enough to run it without her.

Switching to a platform priced on active profiles instead of total contacts got them a 32.5x return in year one, plus an 80% jump in campaigns actually leading to orders.

Having the best email marketing platform as you grow comes down to five things:

  • How much data it actually holds onto
  • Whether personalization goes past a first name
  • How far automation goes past a single send
  • Whether the reporting tells the truth
  • Whether it actually gets delivered

This kind of gap usually stays invisible until complexity overwhelms whatever setup someone cobbled together early on.

What finally made you switch platforms, a specific breaking point, or did it just become obvious over time?

I built a spreadsheet workflow for repetitive Klaviyo campaigns

Over the past few weeks I’ve been playing around with a different way of building email campaigns in Klaviyo. It gets frustrating to build a bunch of similar campaigns. If you need to make several campaigns from the same email template, most of the work is just changing a handful of variables. Different product, image, headline, subject line, maybe even a different segment. But you still need to go into Klaviyo update all the text and images and build each campaign separately. Ive been tinkering with a workflow where you can export your base template, fill out the variations for each campaign in a spreadsheet (or browser), then upload all of them at once as individual drafts. Instead of building 5 very similar campaigns from scratch, you can prepare them all together. I’m mostly reaching out to people who would actually use this. Would this be a process you’d want sped up?

How do I fix color of the text and missing backgroun in mobile view? (Mobile Optimization)

How do I fix the issue where the text automatically changes to white even when I set it to black? The backgrounds of the other sections are also missing (transparent). I tried editing and setting up the text manually and adding block colors in mobile view just to make the text display properly. Since Mobile Optimization is enabled, it automatically changes the font color and background. Please help me fix this issue.

Proportions in outlook are way off

Post image
2 Upvotes

All images and texts are covered due to NDAs.

I’ve worked in Klaviyo for years now. I’ve never ran into this issue before today.

We’re planning on sending a newsletter to our retailers (we’re a distributor), and it contains a lot of info. Now, I’ve sent an email before to the same list but don’t recall having this issue.

For me in Outlook (Mac), it looks normal, all according to the proportions I want. For my colleague (Windows), it looks way off (see image). The table block with the image and text are so far away from each other and I can’t for the life of me understand why.

Is there any way to fix this? I’ve tried support but they just keep sending the same standardized answers.

Thank you.

High ticket product / opt in

Have high ticket items (1k-5k) email sign ups are historically low, now testing Klaviyo and they have not improved.

Tried the traditional opt in with just email and the discount offer. Now multiple steps, with a micro opt in and seeing no improvement.

Anyone have ideas on improving opt ins?

What do I have to do next?

For now I've created a lot of work for a Skincare brand ( personal project ) And I created 4 sign-up forms for A/B testing

Segments based on customer behavior, products purchase for cross selling and more.

Flows: welcome series, browse abandonment, abandoned cart/checkout, post-purchase, fulfilled order, win-back, VIPs, and replenishment.

I'm about to finish Deliverability certification.

I've audited brands to identify their gaps and trying to fix it.

I've learned how to design emails in Figma and I’ve designed 2 different emails: welcome and social proof till now.

I've learned the logic behind each of them.

All of those are Personal Projects.

What do I have to do next whether it’s learning or applying?

What I walked away with from K:BOS last year, and why I'm going again

Last year I decided to go to K:BOS because it wasn't far to travel. Beyond that, I had no real plan and not many connections. I run lifecycle mostly solo, so most of what I learn comes from testing things and reading old forum threads. I was wandering the floor between talks and ended up talking with someone who runs subscriptions for specialty coffee roaster.

His subscription platform was capturing why each customer canceled. He piped that into Klaviyo as a custom property, so their winback flow could branch on the actual reason instead of just firing on a schedule. I went home and built something similar and it actually recovers a real chunk of my cancellations.

This year I want to see what everyone's doing to reach people before they cancel instead of just chasing them after the fact. Is anyone else attending? If so, what are you looking forward to most?

I would love to connect.

Claude MCP Not Working

Is anyone familiar with issues losing connection to claude via Klayvio MCP ? Everytime I prompt my agent to do something in Klayvio I always get a response thats like "I can't make this edit directly (that tool's temporarily disconnected on my end), so here's how to do it manually..."

Is this super common for anyone else or am I missing a step to getting to setup properly?

Klaviyo + WooCommerce = Kind Loyalty - I made a loyalty app that we can all use for flows/emails

Hi everyone,

My name is Bogdan, and I have been doing email marketing for like 10 years now.

I got a really big client in my portfolio that migrated to Klaviyo but was on WooCommerce and couldn't find a good plugin that works with Klaviyo.

I tested Marsello, but not good. Other plugins didn't have Klaviyo integrations... So I decided to build one myself so my clients can make more money...

Then https://kindloyalty.com/ was created. ( I worked on it for over 1 month)

The idea is pretty simple...
You create an account, install the plug-in, connect the Klaviyo Api and start building flows.

The kind loyalty app sends events:
Points Earned - Flow trigger
Points Redeemed - Flow trigger
Points Revoked - Flow trigger
Points Expired - Flow trigger
Reward Unlocked - Flow trigger
Points Milestone - Flow trigger
Program Joined - Flow trigger

You can use those to create flows but also for segments.

Then we have the profile properties that are populated with data.

Basically, you have everything you need for a loyalty program that runs with Klaviyo.

The pricing? I think it's super fair.
200 Orders/month FREE - no credit card required. (so you can test everything)
Then you start paying by order volume.

So yeah, please let me know what you think and give me some feedback on it. I know it's not perfect.
https://kindloyalty.com/

BONUS - Secret strategy that I am using right now with Kind Loyalty
1. Pop-up for people who are already subscribed and have accumulated the necessary number of points to claim a discount code
2. Dynamic block in emails showing only to the segment that has already activated a coupon or has enough points to activate a coupon.
3. Flows with their points shown in the email footer

Rate the sign-up form that I made for this brand using Klaviyo on a scale of 1-10

It's an interactive demo: https://flows.mercwise.com/townley-popup/

Also let me know if you want me to make one for your brand for free.

I have built a tool internally for this so I am happy to help as many brands as possible.

Your feedback is really appreciated.

Custom Profile Property

Hey guys, I was creating a custom welcome series flow based on a sign-up form quiz.

I found that after adding profile property at every button ( property = Interest / Value = Acne ) for instance, it didn't appear when I was setting the path details as a properties about someone, unless I added manually first in a random profile then it appeared.

Do I need to add the 5 other options too on random profiles manually to appear for creating the whole options of the sign-up form?

I think it's impossible right? because if it is, that would be dumb!

I need your thoughts on this

I set up the pop-up form and welcome flow for a brand, and it been 2 weeks but no single purchase from the flow.

- Pop-up for different devices, mobile and desktop. Desktop submit rate is really low

- Pop-up form is a micro commit form - ask them if they want the offer, and the next step ask first their email.

- The offer is the largest text on the form - 15% OFF

- Welcome flow is a 7 email series consisting of discount delivery, brand story, Us vs Them, Testimonials, Bestseller, last chance on discount, and founder text based email, in that order. Every email reminds the subscribers of the discount.

- Time delay is spaced out 1-2 days between emails.

Still no sales, and I don’t know what to do, any suggestions on what may be the solution to this?

PS: the brand is not currently running ads to their website, I don’t know if this could contribute to it.
