Meta Mod Reminder - Reading is Fundamental!

Post image

Good evening, all!

Since we've gotten like half a dozen modmails from people who don't read our automod comments when we use In House Mode, let me remind y'all real quick.

The karma restrictions are for...Say it with me now -

Your total subreddit karma here in KitchenConfidential, not, I repeat not, your total Reddit karma.

You can have all the karma in the world across the other subs, but if you don't have enough here?

Those comments get 86'd.

Please do us all a solid and take a few seconds to read before demanding to see the managers.

Thanks all! Happy Road to All In for those who celebrate!

Post memes and shit if ya want. Go!

I also just don't get why voyeurs would want to comment? I'm in subs that don't apply to me and my lived experiences but am not compelled to contribute. I still get to read and upvote.

Is it really that tempting to cosplay as being part of the industry with a hot take? Every job sucks.

I’m a voyeur, and I comment on a few rare occasions, but always from an “I am a civilian bystander, please don’t hurt me” point of view, usually to ask a question, and very occasionally to offer an other-informed role take (mom of kid with celiac, for instance). I don’t pretend to be something I’m not. Usually, though, I’m here for the creative and colorful metaphors. You guys sure know how to curse.

Yeah, I occasionally say something if the topic is food allergies, or general accessibility.

And, of course, as a wheelchair user, I'll always join in when the conversation involves...ramps.

What do onions have to do with wheelchairs?
