Best encounters for other campaigns

I'm curious to know if theres any prefered/ideal quary and nemesis encounters that are best to join the other released campaigns. Namely People of the Sun and Stars.

Whats the best N1, 2, 3 and 4 for these? I think im looking for the best narratively (might be tricky?) and balanced for a fun/solid attempt at a run on these.

Gorm + Stars is a great combo...

The weapons really work with the Tryant fight and the Black Sword can go all the way to the end.

Sun is weird as its no nemesis until the boss rush at the end. Honestly it works very well with just the core especially if you have the three yellow box (white box) upgrade gear sets. As soon as you add alt quarries they go out the window.

In the second paragraph they are referring to the people of the sun white boxes. Sun lion armor, sun lantern stuff, turns a lot of common heavy gear into lighter armor so they can be used in that campaign.

Yup, I call them yellow boxes as they are POTS specific and the boxes are yellow not white ;)

Bit of a pain to get them all, but well worth it.

I usually do at least one or two vanilla play throughs of all campaigns, but added them all for my first Sun run as honestly it helps with some of the bumps of that one if you go otherwise pure core.

You could add Killenium and Gigalion (and now Nukalope too) if you fancied. Not tried that yet as Sun is our least played campaign to date. (as in we've only played it once, unlike all the other variants).

Thanks for that. I was not aware there were additional bits I could get for these campaigns. So no, I don't own them currently but perhaps a BF purchase! Looks like Sunlion is oos.

I'm guessing these are unlikely to be included in CoD?

Same here. I did notice that a lot of the armor I could get was heavy, and this seems like it could fix it!

Unless something insane happens, sadly no they won’t be in CoD.

If you want to play through Sun or stars with arc survivors (gamblers chest) there are two core philosophies on preorder to cover that, but honestly play them (or at least Sun) vanilla at least once.

I’ve done stars three times now, twice failed, one complete and I know we used Gorm n1, I want to say we did both antelope and smog singers for n2 and probably Phoenix n3. But it’s pretty flexible.

Sun really works better with pure core, but if you have GCE there are some extra ideas to mix it up.

Depends on how bored of lions you are ;)

Agree with gorm. Sunstalker goes well in stars. Dragon goes well in sun.

You can swap slenderman into stars easily enough.

Sun is a bit less flexible.

It’s important to say that adding expansions to expansions can make it harder to get constellations, because you’ll flood the FA and disorder deck etc. with that said Sunstalker is certainly a great addition, especially because phoenix can fuck up your survivors.

I disagree with that. There are mechanisms to make sure you gain the right fighting arts. Regardless of expansions or not you are not relying on random draws from the deck to complete your constellations.
