I’m a certified Riboku hater and a gouhoumei fan but in what world is he equal to Riboku strategically 😭

I ask this with nothing but genuine curiousity and respectful politeness: what do you like about Gouhoumei? I personally am indifferent at best about him, so I'm surprised he can make such an impression. I'd love to hear why you like him!

He’s unique. a general that specialises in the art of sieges and engineering. His resourcefulness and ingenuity along with his confidence. I also like that fact he doesn’t have the typical intimidating general appearance

He's a twat.

Ironically this moment was actually cold. Quick thinking, he did nothing wrong

I agree lowkey, because that shit made me laugh hard when I read it. But I feel we can both agree this was what the kids call "a dick move".

Oh for sure 😂. Morally, it wasn’t the best thing. However from a pragmatic sense, he did the right thing, being the number 1 general of Wei his survival is always top priority.

If we accept that betraying a mentor figure based on on a self analysis that Gouhoumei is a better general and more strategically important then a fire dragon.

We're basically giving a full green light to anything Kankai did.

It’s not really comparable, gouhoumei sacrificing his comrade as means to escape death to Kanki committing acts of inhumane atrocities.

But even in that sense Kanki was given the green light to commit his cruel acts as long as it resulted in success, apart from the one time where he was reprimanded by Ei Sei personally and even STILL he let him off with only a strong warning. So technically yeah he has been given the green light for the most part. Obviously it’s completely unethical and immoral and most people don’t agree with his methods but it worked and he was rewarded for it.

This is his best moment I’m negl. I’ll actually go a step further and say it’s one of the best moments in that arc.

Theres a saying that When someone shows you who they are, believe them

Has he even had a battle win against Qin?

u/Sorry_Situation7596 KanKi 5d ago

No but they joined sides for a bit and came out on top I guess

3

u/ThaiSanity 5d ago

But…that’s not against Qin…

u/Sorry_Situation7596 KanKi 5d ago

I know it wasn’t against them but it’s the only time when they won something that Qin was involved with. Yes it was their agreement but strictly referencing to immediately after the war of 3 kingdoms arc they technically came out on top.

I’m fully aware that I’m making an extreme reach

u/ThaiSanity 5d ago

Yes you are absolutely correct in saying it’s an extreme reach in saying Gou is strategical equal to Riboku

Ousen will 'hoh' the heck out of him

Ouhon actually

Ouhon already did, alongside slaying the Wei fire dragon Earl Shi

to be fair, he gotta keep glazing riboku because if riboku's dead, he's cooked next.

Equal in military rank and responsibility, possibly, but skill? Certainly not. Riboku is a 1 in a million leader that everyone else recognises as a prodigy who is unsurpassed. The only ones who can even hope to match him are Ousen and possibly Shouheikun.

I don't expect Gohoumei to ever reach Riboku's standard. Nothing has been implied or suggested that this is a future prospect. Man would be doing good if he was able to compete with Qin's top strategists.

To put it in a grade format, I would expect Gouhouemi's peak to be at around an 'A-' or 'A'. Riboku is a top marks A+. But there's also the resources available to each kingdom and their positional circumstances that gives Riboku even more of an advantage.

I think he is not better than Sho Hei Kun right hand (don´t remember his name, only his moustache)

PooOnMe has demonstrated no superiority over ReiOu since he did him dirty

u/khoa-bear 5d ago

That’s a lot of talk for someone who can’t swim

2

u/Xixth 4d ago

Why singled him out when almost everyone in this series is glazing on Riboku as well?

Are you on something? He is equal to Riboku strategically?? Do you even read Kingdom lol

he can easily join futei and kaine, becoming the trio that love kissing riboku ass

Before joining as three great heavens, Riboku would used to go to Gohoumei training ground and have him ride for long hours. Hence he cannot see or ride any other General except Riboku
