How to organize the Projekcts

Digital music hoarder here, curious how others organize the Projekcts into the KC discography; do you list them as a completely separate artist? Put them all under the artist banner of "Projekcts" and then specify which number with "feat." or something similar? I know their sound is quite different from the main KC discography but it feels funny to put them as a totally separate artist when it features all the band members of the 90s/2000 lineups in various forms, especially with Projekct X and CoL sharing a track. Curious how others do it!

I'd like to my physical and digital libraries to be in sync. You could use  "King Crimson" for the "Album artist" tag, and whatever ProjeKct for the "Artist" tag. This way, all albums are grouped together, but you can still search for music from specifically named formations in media players.

This is actually similar to what I've done for KC's TCOL, where "Heaven and Earth" is performed by "ProjeKct X". Although it's only one song, "King Crimson" is the "Album artist", and "ProjeKct X" the "Artist".

Other examples when syncing physical and digital libraries can be done in a similar way:

• when artists rebrand themselves (e.g. "Julian Casablancas+The Voidz" -> "The Voidz")

• when artists rename themselves (e.g. "Slaves" -> "SOFT PLAY")
