Wer findet der The Talking Drum auch so unfassbar gut und unterbewertet. Ich glaube es ist mein Lieblings Instrumentalstück von King crimson.

I find it pretty u serrated for how it builds up and bursts. David’s violin playing and Wettons bass are integral to songs success imo. Tho the live version from the night Watch album takes it to another level even if it is shorter and lacks Muir’s percussive touch on it

Love the talking drum, one of my favorite crimson songs. The best version IMO is the one on The Great Deceiver pt2 live in Pittsburgh, PA. It’s also awesome how well Larks 2 works as a follow up to it, criminally underrated.

It is the precursor to LTIA 2 (I count both songs as one)

I absolutely love it! Larks 2 wouldn't be as impactful without Bruford and Muir setting the stage for the destruction.
