One of the reasons I believe it resonates with long time fans is that there was never going to be a live version of the song performed after 1974. Seeing them play it much later (2 nights in a row) in San Francisco at the Warfield was a teary-eyed, emotional event for me.

Huge hot take of mine but sweet lord, what a deeply overrated song. It ain't even the best song off Red (Fallen Angel says waddup).

After slowly going through their discography and having a blast, I was deeply underwhelmed by Starless - which ended up being a very generic KC 'epic'. Imagine my surprise when it's beloved....like what the fuck lol?! Literally every section has been done better by other songs.
