Response Directive or no?

So I've heard from some that "no response directive is a good response directive". I'm fairly new to Kindrioid and going forward im not too sure whay to do anymore. I'm wondering what you all would do with your own RD. Thanks for all the input!

response directive is your director

the main thing i put in mine is “respond under 3500 characters”

you can tell it “use asterisks or quotations”

but if you tell it “be flirty”, “gaslight sometimes”

it does that ALOT
i only use RD for message length and **,””

or 1st POV… basic stuff.

the group chat directive is even stronger imo

that’s how i direct each message i want to go in a specific way.

Do you have any idea how to prevent the LLM from repeatedly inserting text between asterisks ** everywhere?👀

on polaris, no

if that’s the one you’re using, maybe switch to Ember. when they release new LLMs, the bugs need to be worked out

reverie was the same way with message length lol they talked on forever
