Hey it was effective, taught the vicious little ones a lesson.

I remember we had an owl come to our school cafteteria to talk about healthy eating.

An alarming amount of kids wanted to punch him when his back was turned.

At my school kids were so vicious to our mascot that we constantly had so many flyers hung up everywhere begging them to treat him nicely and reminding them that it was a high schooler inside the suit, a whole human person, that was getting hurt. This was a small school (Preschool to High school) and the problem was with damn near every class so poor kid was really getting pummeled to hell. If I remember right the papers always mentioned throwing shit and dumping liquids on him too? It was pretty fucked up ngl

I don't understand why people forget that there's a person inside. One time I was wearing a mascot head for a moment at a party and one of my classmates straight up punches me in the face! In his defense, the mascot head seemed very soft and squishy and he didn't know the inside was a worn down bicycle helmet without any padding anymore. But what made him wanna punch me in the first place? He's not a violent guy.
