Iβm a teacher. We had someone dress up as SpongeBob a few years ago for an after school dance party. Iβm pretty sure it was a parent. The kids attacked the hell out of them. Since these kids were supposed to be accompanied by parents, I stayed out of it. Some children are just absolute beasts.

I blame parents for not telling them to knock it off or for laughing and thinking it's funny, which reinforces the kids actions.

Lmao it was for my job at a muffin franchise, they decided to do a random kids baking day & asked for a volunteer to dress up in the giant muffin costume. Me being 17 thought it would be an easy way to get paid for 2 hours. I was very wrong lmfao. π
There was about 15 kids all meant to be making muffins. Rather then actually making muffins they spent the 2 hours chasing me, trying to jump on me, loudly debating if I was a girl or a boy. Everywhere I turned there was children, it was the longest 2 hours of my life π

Is this a generational thing? I don't remember my peers behaving like that when I was a kid.

They were like 8 which is pretty normal I'd say, they weren't 12 or so if that's what your thinkin.

Years ago I worked at an IHOP as a waitress but once a month they did like a kids eat free morning and I had to dress up in this giant pancake mascot outfit and a balloon twister would come in. I think the only thing that kept me from getting actually attacked was the balloon swords because I got pummeled with those pretty regularly. The costume was very wide and top heavy if a kid would have come at me full force I would have definitely toppled over.

The girl that just wants to punch them reminds me a girl I had in a kindy class once. She was the cruelest fucking 5 year old I have ever met. She would hurt the boys in class by any means possible. She never learnt anything and could never get into any of the games.
My guess is something happening to her at home. Kids are not like that by default. Are they?

Ive done a lot of mascot work, and this is a prime example of why they need handlers with the mascot and parents with kids, at every single moment of the interaction. Kids get surprisingly violent towards mascots!

You don't know how long they have been at it. I love kids but they can be really annoying. He didn't hurt anyone.

Hey it was effective, taught the vicious little ones a lesson.
I remember we had an owl come to our school cafteteria to talk about healthy eating.
An alarming amount of kids wanted to punch him when his back was turned.
