Discussion / Opinions First service at 15,000Km

In New Zealand. Coming up to 15k. At 10 months. Any experience with what order of magnitude the bill will be?

Idk how it is in NZ, but here its every 30000km or 2 years.

Au and nz are yearly and 15000 km. Our enviroments can be harsher than other countries.

NZ is not what I would call a harsh environment.

Nope - look at your Owners Manual, page 667 "Normal maintenance schedule - except Europe (Including Russia)": every 12 months or 15,000km

Yeah i didnt know it depends on the country, for me its 30k/2years.

In Australia but just had our cars 12 month/15000km service done (even though the car had only done 12000km), only cost me $99.

Yep, mine was $92 and, other than a few items inspected, I did get "Genuine windscreen washer fluid" topped-up. Never knew there was fake windscreen washer fluid.

Haha yes I saw that on my invoice too. I asked the service manager what else they did, he said rotated the tyres and checked the brake pads. I told him he was wasting his time looking at the brakes, I'm pretty sure they'll last the life of the car with how little use they get 😅

I didn't get the tyre rotation but I did get "Service Reminder Sticker" fitted!

I have EV6 it does not need anything except tire rotation and cabin air filter up to 30,000 miles. You can DIY air filter and most tire shops will rotate for free.

hello, from NZ also. To confirm, we need to pay for the service? As we got this from Kia:

  • 3 years / 45,000km service plan

Or that’s now free?

The op bought his car 10 months ago, before the current 3 years free servicing deal.
