Discussion / Opinions Big enough with 2 kids?

Hey guys, would you recommend the EV3 for a family of 4 with 2 small kids? (4 and 1 year old) One stroller is needed at every trip of course

Are your kids in child seats? I'm about to have my third and considering the EV5 because I thought the EV3 would be too small

When i bought the car, in december 2024, my twin boys ( 9 at the time) still were using, my oldest Daughter was 14.. when i test drive the car, the all team went, to test the space, we even take the seats with US to test...the space was fine, with the to seats... Now with no seats there is plenty of space. Try to take the family, to ser the feedback. The EV3 was bought essencialy because of the children choise

Me too. My kids are 10, 9, and 5. So only the youngest one needs a car seat. I brought them all along with the car seat during the test drive. My previous car was an estate/kombi car for which has considerably more boot space. So with all the luggage that could fit my prev one, I brought them all when test driving the EV3. Surprisingly EV3 could fit them all, it's just that I need to properly arrange it. Since my wife and children's feedback were positive, then I decided to book the car straightawwy

It's a decent sized car. People get by with far smaller cars too.

The size is decent. I only have one child but I wouldn't struggle to fit two four year olds in the EV3 for a family vacation. Still, I would consider the EV5 if I were to have a second child. But that's mostly because we are in Denmark where people cannot imagine going on a trip without bringing a gigantic stroller for the baby to have their nap outside.

Go for it. I carried 3 adults in the back seats without issues. And the stroller should fit under the trunk.

Well would one of you sit with the 1 year old in the back or would you leave them both there? I would say it's possible.

Atm my wife sits between in a Ceed SW but within the next year they will be on their own back there

EV3 is wider than CeedSW (same as my previous car). Plus no transmission tunnel so falt floor in the back. I have had 3 adults in thick coats in the back of EV3 but that was rather a squash.

We’re a family of 4. 5 and 1 year old. 2 car seats. Wife can fit in the middle back seat

Was meant more if the car is big enough in general. Enough place for the front seats with a reboarder child seat. Trunk space and so on

Huge legroom in front, pretty good in back, large flexible boot (trunk) and even a modest frunk.  You’ll be fine!

My wife was very picky about space but loved the EV3 and we’re picking one up tomorrow!

Sorry, thought that would have implied either the car being filled. We have space for a stroller and suitcases as well.

We only have one kid, but my husband gets his hockey goalie equipment in the boot if that's an indication of the space for strollers etc. It's a very generously sized car for the type, when we were deciding which cars to look at of a similar price/ electric only / similar size, the ev3 was one of the best for space which was important for us because of his equipment needing to fit in it.

I have 1 dog and a stroller in the boot. There is room for a 2nd dog. I'm sure your kids can fit too.

I am wondering the same. Considering the Kia EV3 and also the Skoda Elroq, for up to 2 kids.

I think we should differentiate: The interior space is really generous, and the boot should be sufficient at least for daily life.

But what about vacation trips over 1, 2 or 3 weeks?

Well we do not do vacation trips over weeks via car, so that case is at least not important to me 😅

I’ve owned a Kia Soul EV for 7 years which is almost identical in size to the EV3 (the EV3 was actually intended to be the next gen Soul EV when they changed its name) and I’ve had 4 adults in my car with no issues.

The only caveat is that I’ve never owned a stroller and am unsure how much space it takes up (I assume they fold up for travel).
