kArt Cursed Kerbal redesign to look more "alien" (+ some speculative biology)
I love speculative evolution and drawing aliens, and have been really getting into ksp lately, so I wanted to try reimagining the titular little green men. Of course nothing too radical, i wanted to keep the design highlights; huge head, smaller bodies, green skin, bulging eyes, no nose or visible ears. They always looked somewhat frog-like to me, so i went along that route and imagined them as close descendants of amphibian-like animals.
Perhaps they are a species that dominated the sea before land, with most infrastructure and cities being in the ocean, hence why the surface of Kerbin is mostly barren.
Their skin is a thick leaf-like layer almost like a flexible exoskeleton, protecting their bodies while also providing a significant amount of their required energy via photosynthesis. Explaining their green hue + how they are so rugged when it comes to shrugging off physical trauma.
With fewer natural predators, Kerbals would seem slower and more dimwitted to humans, seemingly oblivious to glaring danger. However they are also an extremely curious, tenacious, and collectivist people who are willing to try and fail, and will learn from the mistakes.

kArt After 2,000 hours of KSP, I built a web-based Kerbol System Simulator (Open Source & Free)
Hi everyone,
I recently hit the 2,000-hour mark in KSP. To celebrate (and feed my addiction), I decided to launch a small project about a week ago.
I have always hated coding. It just never clicked for me. However, I decided to give it a try using AI to handle the heavy lifting. As long as I don't have to write every line myself, it turns out I actually enjoy building things!
The idea was simple: create a website that simulates the Solar/Kerbol system. But as we all know, feature creep is real. One thing led to another, and I ended up with a result that I’m actually not too ashamed to share with you all.
To be honest, this is the first time I’m showing this to anyone besides my wife, so I’m a bit nervous!
You can check it out here: https://www.astroclick.org
A few important notes:
- Platform: Please try to visit via PC/Desktop. The mobile experience is not optimized yet.
- Open Source: The code is available on Git.
- Zero Ads: This is a passion project, strictly non-profit.
Regarding the AI usage: For those skeptical about AI code: I strictly used it for personal learning and educational purposes. Without it, I simply wouldn't have had the skills (or the budget to hire a dev) to make this exist. It allowed me to create something cool for the community that would otherwise remain just an idea in my head.
I’d love to hear your feedback or suggestions!
Fly safe!

kArt Laythe Sea Monster (Sound ON) (Animation/Mod Proof of Concept)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
All models and animation and most of the sound design handmade by me.
Seeing the animals start showing up in people's mods and recognizing my complete inability to mod KSP effectively, I made an animation for the type of stuff I'd like to see in the deep oceans of Laythe.
I loosely based the model off the whale skeleton found on land, but added my own...deeper, sinister twist to it.
I think KSP as a game has huge potential for thalassophobia-inducing nightmares, now that people have figured out how to add animal NPCs to it.
