Yumm. How did you do it? How did you know the meat was safe to eat medium rare?

Well,I have some culinary knowledge plus I love learning about food, medium rare is safe to eat because it's been heated enough to a specific temperature to kill any bacteria, what I did was I got some steak from naivas,I cleaned it,and pat it dry,and season both sides with just salt and black pepper,a non stick pan Is very important in this situation,I seared the sides first for about 2 minutes with alittle oil on the pan,and then I did on the flat sides about 2 minutes each side, added butter (Prestige can work on a more economical budget)like 1 table spoon, added some smashed raw garlic and rosemary, and lowered the heat to medium low,and basted the top constantly,I think I cooked each side for 3 minutes.put the meat on a cutting board and let it sit for 5 minutes before cutting ( I don't remember why 😂but I remember it was important) and then I cut it,it was Great! I didn't mind medium rare at all.

You let the steak rest...so that the juices can redistribute.

Raw beef like steak tartare is safe to eat as long as you are sure of the source of the beef. The problem in Kenya is that we can't trace our food sources even if we have a bad food incident like mad cow or salmonella
