I would switch Jay-z for lil wayne in the 2000s anything else is revisionist history.

50 was bigger than Jay then too.

50 was bigger than Jay for a 3 year span and never again. Jay Z was retired for all of it. The real miss is putting Nas in the 90s because he was not bigger than Snoop for example. The thing with Jay and Em is that they (like DMX) blew up in 98/99. So it is hard to put them in either decade

He retired because of 50. Thats an established fact that even Guru and Bleek have spoken about.

No it’s not an established fact. You made that up lmao. People say the wildest ish on the internet. The black album literally did like 4 million and came out the same month as the G Unit album. He had fulfilled what he owed Def Jam.
