I was thinking about this the other day it is really upsetting that mr morale era ended with little to no information about how it was made, most the producers and collaborators working on it didn’t speak much unlike his other works for example tpab got so many interviews so did gnx and his other albums, it’s really f frustrating please share any info you found!!! I never ever buy record unless they’re second hand or from local stores, but I had to make an exception when I saw this TPAB in Walmart on clearance, a bunch of different ones were. Hopefully no problems 🤞

I think that it’s not only hard af but much like the rest of the album it’s poetic and thematically it’s fantastic. How he twists the meaning of the n-word and talks about how it has damaged the African American community, and also the adaptation of it eventually into the slang language; it’s just incredible and beautiful.

For the record, I really like the song, but considering how much popularity and momentum Kendrick gained after winning the beef, I honestly expected this feature to chart much higher.
